Compare it to physical Ark (very difficult hero, you need to press Ctrl with right click) or Meepo (difficulty on this hero is nonexistent after Poof rework) which draws full enemy team attention to just neutralise them.

Dota feels more balanced because it doesn’t have individual damage ratios in every single hero like League does for every single one of its champs. (70 damage on Jhin doesn’t = 70 damage on Ashe) (70 damage on anyone in Dota is 70 damage) Also the fact that everyone in Dota uses mana (a few spells use hp) league has Mana, rage, energy, straight up no resource, cost at all just CD. Crits also don’t just add up like they do in league. Two items at 25% is 50% crit in league. Two items at 25% in Dota would technically be a 37.5% chance to crit not 50% (Dota uses actual real world math for chance calculations on Crits) This also just gives us more build diversity in general. Like 90% of ADC’s in league is Boots+5 crit items or Boots+4 crit items+ GA. (Yes there are other builds like lethality or AP versions instead of AD like Varus can do but none of that is even close to the diversity of Dota builds/roles.

Even the case with Enchantress and Tiny looks normal. 1. Tiny has himself attack speed less than an average hero. And in this example I guess Tiny had no items for increasing that attack speed. If he buys correct items, he can beat enchantress in significantly fewer seconds. So this is exaggerated case. 2. Enchantress has a great passive ability that slows down enemies, but she is still balanced with fewer health points. Tiny can easily kill her with magic, and in addition Tiny has two active skills that cause damage. In a real game Tiny is not going to stand there like a statue trying to beat her. He just throws Enchantress with his second skill and kill her.

You forgot to mention that Crystal Maiden is a support. With a spell which literally deals highest amount of damage in the entire game (and I am serious - excluding infinitely scaling abilities like Echo Slam, Freezing Field have highest potential damage). And she isn't even really that good. Thinking about it, its quite common for supports out there to have some insanely painful skills (Earthshaker, WD, CM, Lion with aghs and probably more). I'm wondering how it compares to LoL Petition to make analogue for us, DotA folk, to see, is there any insane things in LoL. There must be, right?

Lol is more insane for the speed of the game. Less crazy mechanics more everything went off in a color explosion in like 4 seconds. Assassin's in lol 100-0 you in like 2-4 seconds unless you're on some sort of hyper tank.

@@VasiliyOgniov what's crazy is the damage scaling on spells, and not the spells themselves. off the top of my head i can't name any "huge" impact spell. some may look very cool and flashy (Pantheon R for example), but do not do much at the end. most spells are either mobility, damage, slow (CC), sometimes a mix of all. but i'm not an avid LoL player (not big on DotA either), so I may be wrong (and most likely am)

Ahh.. finally Invoker are mentioned on the vid. Im invoker mains, and i always impress other people who only plays LOL, Or Mobile legends with this hero when they brag their champs are “very hard to play”. So a good invoker combos are actually very simpler than you might u guys think. Just memorize their spell combo and you guys are good to go Normal combo : 1.Prepare TORNADO and EMP. (WWQ->R->W->R) 2. Use Tornado (now it come to the 2nd slot of invoked spells which is F key) -> immediately invoke Chaos Meteor (EEW->R)-> cast EMP (second slot of invoked spell which is F keys) -> cast chaos meteor (1st slot of invoked spell which is D keys) -> invoke Deafening Blast and use it immediately (QWE->R->F) Simplified key combos are : WWQ->R->W->R->F->EE->R->F->D->QWE->R->D There are alot of combo out tere but this is the combo y’all need for clash and solokill people.

8 years of league and about 800 hours in smite and i just started dota 2 today. i can already tell its gonna be the same as going from diablo 3 to path of exile. there is so much more to learn and keep track of, but the game mechanically doesnt feel harder outside of needing to figure out rebinds because there is so many things to press. but unlike league as of the last 5 years, i am excited to learn something new, i just hope i can talk my friends into trying it as well.

@@k45racing yeah, I agree the mechanics are easier than something like league because it's not as reliant on skill shots or timing. But as a tradeoff the positioning, vision battles, and macro level gameplay are harder in dota. It is very team reliant, even at the lower skill levels.

i was just thinking, you might do a comparison video about Mana between Dota 2 and League. i think it's something interesting to look into. mana is very important in Dota and you have to manage it carefully, whereas in League you pretty much never run out of mana from the mid game onwards. some Dota items have a mana cost, whereas in League they don't because not all characters _have_ mana. sounds really fascinating. i'm sure you'd do a great job at it

Additional note on Doom's ultimate (which is also called doom): Changes the game from 5v5 to 5v4. When upgraded with aghs, can possibly be 5v0. Actual effect: Deals pure damage (cannot be reduced by armor or magic resist, only damage resist.) over time for 16 seconds. Also silences and mutes (prevents item usage) target. Can be upgraded further via talent to also break and prevent passive shenanigans. Aghs makes it AOE and can cast on self to apply debuff radius on self. As a final FU, pierces spell immunity and dispels target. This can shut down a carry reliant on items and passive (Phantom Assasin), or prevent initiators (tidehunter/enigma) form doing their thing. Counter: Linkens sphere can block Doom unless he has a teammate or jungle creep ability to burn the sphere charge. Alternatively, lotus orb can reflect it to also apply doom on Doom. Part 3 mention nomination: Necrophos. Mechanic: Executes you when you are at 40% HP or lower. Also saps just under 3% (6% with another skill) of your health every second.

Everything really is countered by skill and experience, which is why you get stuck in one MMR if you just keep playing, it's very different line up and thought process in different MMRs. Which makes it really different to other competitive games I have played. There isn't really a meta because the meta will soon been replaced by the counter meta. TBH Clinkz is still fucking hard to balance after so many big patches just rework the character entirely. So is a lot of chars with long invis since really you don't win Dota by play better but by having more information on the map(vision).

Old Patches were wilder. Enchanress' Impetus has higher damage, the further the enemy is. Modern Enchantress has limit on damage per distance. Old Enchantress has no limit on damage per distance. She was basically the real sniper. But can be countered with a mere blademail item(damage return) Modern Invoker has 10 spell combinations, but Old invoker (Dota 1) has 27 spell combinations. Only counter is the player's memorization skill. Old invoker probably got the fastest rework in all MOBA after their first debut.

Old invoker had that aoe flamethrower on taking damage though, forget the name, but it's the only spell you needed. Tank up, run at enemy, win game. Also tornado is basically unchanged from inception which is ... wow

I like that in Dota, armor is not that inflated, my lol friend told me "hey, i don't have much armor" and he had like 40 sth armor and when i made him look at the physical dmg reduction he had he just laughed a bit and kept playing

In league 1 point of armor is 1% who. In dota, it's 6%. League has the better system to understand at a glance, it's not about inflation.

Armor in Dota loses its effectiveness the higher the amount. That does not mean its value gets worse over time otherwise Agility hard carry scaling heroes wouldn't dominate in the late game.

That's just their professions. Nearly every dota hero has a profession name (and what people like referring to them as) and a propper name. Sniper = Kardel Sharpeye Lifestealer = N'aix Faceless Void = Darkterror

Should have swapped lifestealer and nightstalker and have AA as an ally. That way, they can see the marker and you could land the ice blast.

But then you can't see the green lifesteal values. Both options had drawbacks.

@@TZAR_POTATO eh...i think lifestealer getting huge chunk of hp back, even without the values, is a bit more understandable. AA is just waving both his arms up and then LS is suddenly not healing. The particle debuff is a bit subtle if you aren't looking for it.
