So humble.. what a legend! T-Mac and him my 2 all time favorites

Air Canada was absolutely sensational in his prime. Triple treat.. Smoother than kobe, wade, most wow-factor of his era, best highlightreal posterising in game dunker of all time. Highlight dunking in the nba peaked with his plays and will never be repeated by any other player. Remember i couldn't wait to watch his in game highlights back in the day. He absolutely deserves all the respect at the end of his career.

When the damn media turns on a player, it effects the perception of mindless sheep who are incapable of critically thinking for themselves. The man got a bad wrap. He is a great player who had a great career. Legendary in his own right.

You're right man. When I think of Vince's career the 1st thing I remember is the 2001 playoffs with him and AI going back and forth. Sometimes I wish Vince would have went to the Finals that year, but Iverson did give L.A. their only playoff loss.
@BingeworthyContent4 жыл бұрын
@@nickphillips6546 Raptors matched up better with the Lakers than the Sixers that year. Alvin Williams was our 6'6 PG with Vince as our SG to match up with Kobe. Sixers didn't have nothing for Kobe or Shaq. JYD and AD doing all the dirty work to keep Shaq honest. We will never know though. Raptors would have pulled out at least a game imo if they did make the Finals that year

The only player or office exec that had his family (mother) have a parking spot front and center. Given in to his every demand, built around his wants, sulked when Dr. J wasn't hired as GM, averaged around 16pts per game before he forced himself out (dropping his trade value and projecting a problematic player badge) because he didn't want to play in T-dot. Then averaging like 27pts per game with NJ that same season. He gave up on Toronto. He created his own bad rep.

very interesting. Thanks for upping. A man with the potential to be one of the all-time greats with a array of on-court qualities. Ironic - a guy with the killer instinct but not the obsessive mind that comes with it. A guy with heaps of passion, amazed at his own self really at times - often misunderstood and taken as pretentious.

I hope one day Vince will sit down for another 6 part interview and they'll ask him questions like.." Talk about the prime years of your career in New Jersey, the numbers you were putting up...what were you and J Kidd missing that stopped such an electrifying one two punch from going to the finals ?? " Or.... " Of all the game winners you have made in your career, which one is your favourite ? " Instead of dunk this and dunk that and describe this dunk and the other.

Im from toronto. I grew up in the vince Carter "Michael jordan of canada" era. I remember as a kid, going to the Cadbury chocolate factory and seeing his jersey in a glass case with his favorite chocolate bars beside them. Then that same year i got selected as one of like 8 kids from my school go to the playdium where we would get to meet vince carter... i looked forward to this moment and on that day... he bailed on us and thousands of other kids... they sent jerome JYD williams instead.... thats why i dont fucking like him
