Good to see all is well. Saw your post yesterday about the relays. I posted the A30 U3 model I use. Its rated to switch 230v AC. So 120v AC shouldnt be an issue as all.

Just got my 1st wind turbine, the iSta Breeze i500. I think I got it figured out how I'm going attach it to temporary mast for testing. But I don't know if it has a built in "slip ring" or not. But do I even need one? Or over time, not having a "slip ring", twist up my wires?

yeah the i500 has a slip ring. You can tell by grabbing the yoke and turning it...the three wires will spin with the yoke. You always need a slip ring, anyone who doesn't have one will eventually get their cables all twisted up and ruined.

Would it be worth trying LiFePO4 instead of popping a ton off lead acid? Having said that good luck finding a good supplier of LiFePO4.

With the way I treat batteries if I ran lithium I'd burn the county down. I use lead acid because it can take a lot of abuse, I just really need much larger batteries.

@@ToysforWatts 😂 😂 😂 Yeah man you do, I have lost count how many you have popped. You can safely clobber the LiFePo4 chemistry of Lithium with very high Amps or C rate, 280Ah cells that I last tryed to buy safely charge/discharge at .5c 140Ah, that is huge! ⚡⚡⚡💥 a good BMS is vital thiugh. Lead Acid gives off Hydrogen and spew acid everywhere this LiFePo4 will just bloat, vent and die. Only stabbing them with a metal spike seems to set these on fire.

Waiting with baited breath for the "Eureka We Have It Working" video on the Chinese charge controller. Guessing you read all the potential help/recent comments on those videos (firmware, wrong main menu (solar), etc).

I have read as much as I can find, and have sorted out how to select the correct firmware...it no longer retains the information, though, I have to reset it every time the power cycles. I have an idea of how to address it but it's a bandaid. I don't believe it will ever really work correctly but that's okay, it was a fun little experiment.
