THE JOJOLANDS is AMAZING so far...

So far there have only been 4 chapters released of the JOJOLANDS and I am in love with Jojos all over again. For those of you who have been living under a rock, the Jojolands is the 9th and most likely final part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the immortal vampire Hirohiko Araki. I say immortal vampire because this man not only doesn’t age but doesn’t slow down since his skills as a mangaka either, having only gotten exponentially better over his lifelong career. But that's not what we're here to talk about today, instead we're here to talk about the jojolands and everything I think that it is doing amazingly so far…

Part 5 was already my favorite part, so the fact that part 9 goes back to that vibe is making soooo excited for the story! Once I realized Matte Kudasai was a King Crimson song it just cememnted my excitement for my suspicions of the part being AU part 5.

I was taken aback by how quickly the part started off compared to other parts, but Im warming up to the characters and their distinct personalities. Araki is doing a great job of balancing the character writing. Also paco might be a rock human

I personally loved the ending of pt 5, and found pt 4's to be totally lackluster. I actually read ahead with the manga after watching Pt 4's anime in 2016, because I was so broken hearted by the lack of potential filled with cool fight interactions between Josuke, Koichi, Rohan. Pt 8 felt really good, but also was a bit of a weird ending. Hopefully Pt 9 knocks it out of the park and exceeds the admittedly weirdly placed Rolling Stones arc into something new and fresh. Pt 5's Gold Experience Requiem evolution was the first touch of someone's stand evolving and exceeding it's limits into an OP fight at the end. I would say Pt 7's Tusk surpassed that feeling entirely of evolutions from Pt 5, and Pt 8 returns with a sense of community killing the main villain like in Pt 4. Already Rohan's fights and inclusion in Pt 9 exceed his previous role in Pt 4. Pt 9 is goated for me. Taking my favorite bits of every part and smashing it into one epic adventure. These are all my biased opinions. They probably will be totally different than other fans. We will share one thing: JoJoLands is really fuckin good. REALLY GOOD. Loved the parallels of November Rain, also loving the Parallels of Matte Kudasai a lot too. I remember Araki at one point mentioned he wanted someone in Pt 5 in the team to betray everyone, so we'll have to see if Usagi forms a 2nd personality and begins giving commands to himself.

Araki had originally planned for Fugo to come back later and reveal that he had been a spy for Diavolo the entire time. Passione was also supposed to fight him with Giornio killing him. Though Araki never went through with it because he was going through some heavy depression at the time and felt it would be too mean spirited. I think it would be interesting if he rectified that in Part 9. I just want it to at least make sense character wise that the person would betray them though. I think that it wouldn’t have made sense for Fugo to have done so.

@@LoungeAct_ I think Araki made the right call in not killing Fuugo off. It would have broken the flow of his intent and the themes. I do love Fuugo’s redepmtion in his side story where he figures out Purple Haze Requiem. I’m keen to see if Araki follows through with a betrayal in this season, but if not, I hope King Crimson manifests into something entirely new, like in Pt8 with Kira not even being inherently evil. I thought it was more nuanced and interesting!

@@VetNovice I’m with you on this. I sort of think Usagi is the Doppio of the group w/ the Diovolo personality either already or about to be manifested with in him. Possibly having Diovolo appear to give Doppios orders to his/their stand, subtly or overtly betraying/undermining the group throughout the story. ‘Diovolo Usagi’ at some point will reveal himself and remove the beret and head covering to reveal his ‘look’. It’s possible that the form fitting suit Usagi wears helps him feel ‘together’ similarly to Twice in MHA. Honenstly i like the interaction between him and Paco, so I’d rather he not betray them.

I’ll enjoy reading it in about 10 years, when they finally bring it out in print. It’s only took them 8 years to release the first 5. We’ll get 6 next year, it’s ridiculous.
