Yeah this is why I miss Jeremy Adams’s flash because frankly this Barry Allen tie in seems so unnecessary.

Tie-ins in general are rarely necessary. The fact this story has so many tie-ins screams that DC is trying to milk this for everything it's worth. And, at least as far as most of these first issues go, they don't impact the main story in any real way.
