The Dirty Tree, Grindr, Fortin 33, anf the Deadweald Duality Dx are all similar , but not identical. They are all supposed to be be Integrated Preamp clones, but have their quirks. None of them sound or feel exactly the same, but are the same ballpark as farms as what they do. The 33 has a particular high end that none of the other pedals can do. I'm not sure why, but the input impedence of that thing is like 5M, which might have something to do with it. The 33 is kind of like the 1st revival clone of the TC IP, so it probably deviated in its own way. I would guess the other clones kinda cloned the original design rather than the 33, but some, like the Grindr and Dirty Tree have added a mode that kinda duplicates the settings of the 33, but allow you to still have the functionality of the TCP IP. The Duality DX does not have the 33 setting and the Grindr adds the Fortin Grind setting option as well as the 33. Idk... The 33 has this certain magic to it, but it's limited in adjustability. They are all different shades and each person might prefer a different one... I have all these pedals except for the Grindr which I sold, because the Dirty Tree is pretty similar. Kept the Duality for now because it has the built-in gate, and still have the 33 because it still has that magic. Honestly, I prefer other boosts for what I do, but keep theae around for when I finally play my 30" scale in drop F or Drop E. I have an avalanche of gear and other priorities so it's on the back burner for now. For what I do I'd have to say that my favorite boosts are just the OD808, vop9 stacked with a Soulfood, the King In Yellow, and very especially the vertical VariOboost. But all of this varies from rig to rig I suppose.. Oh yeah.. And most especially of all... My OG HM-2 MIJ... I have about 10x HM-2's... Just a few more and I could line the insides of a trench coat with them and flash people or play HM-2 street dealer... 😂

Thats a rectifiers best friend...ive got something close, the guptech Grindr. I guess you could say a variant. It does the integrated pre eq along with a fixed 33 and grind mode...and is awsome for tightening up the love handles ..
