You cant get a better woman than Mary she is everything a mother to 4 children, a supportive wife and a Queen she is what you call a Jack of all trade. Frederick must have won the lottery the day he married her this woman has every qualities of a Queen She carried herself well with no awkwardness she present herself well for Denmark she has alot to offer she was already functioning as a Queen when she was Crown princess of Denmark. She is bright and intelligent and even had a Bachelor of Law and Commerce degree at University of Tasmania she rightly own the Crown and to be Frederick 's wife she is no bimbo and no other woman can beat her no Danish woman no Geneveva Mary is on top of the ladder She was so ambitious she even mastered the Danish language after she met Frederick it was a difficult language to learn she didnt take long to learn

For him to kiss her like that is obviously damage control just as the abdication is, to attempt to control the damage done to the monarchy's reputation from his affair with Genoveva Casanova, which is abhorrent betrayal. A woman never gets over such betrayal. Mary pushes him away ever so subtly after the kiss. Sorry, it wont fly.
