They ended the disco era, made one of best debut album's ever, had the number 1 song of 1979, and have been forgotten by too many people, GET THE KNACK is my favorite album that wasn't made by the Beatles.

Wow ... I knew they filmed this, I saw the cameras but I never saw this. I was at this show at Carnegie. I think they had to air the Hall for weeks after. Probably the first time that much pot was smoked in the building. Geez, funny to see after all these years. What a great show this was.

I too saw the this tour however it was exactly one week before your NYC show in Detroit on Oct. 3rd, 1979 at the Masonic Auditorium. Sat main floor center stage about twenty rows back but next to the camera crew,...never saw a clip from my show , but this is thankfully as close as I can get! It also was a great show,..electric, crazy and was so much of fun, at the time they were huge! Seen them several times over the years, and was always, always a fun and tight show!

I was 8 when this song dropped and was way into the skating rink. I'd lose my friggin mind when they played this song. It would be played at least 6 times a night. My mom wouldn't let me buy the album but I did get the 45 single and would play it on my little record player in the driveway and skate all day while it played over and over. After 41 years I still remember the song note for note. Shakedown 1979

Funny how they show the guitar after he finishes the solo. Useless tv people strike again.

I've had the album since its release. This is a great song, but the first album had many others. She's So Selfish is my favourite. By the way... these guys sound great!!!! Love it.

FUCK WHY CANT ANYONE SHOW THE GOD DAMN GUITAR PLAYER'S GUITAR DURING THE SOLO????? first we see the rhythm guitar, then we see the bassist, then the lead guitarist's face. CAN WE HAVE AT LEAST 2 SECONDS OF THE LEAD GUITAR? oh thanks, right at the very end of the solo, we get 2 seconds. brilliant camerawork and editing buttmunches.
@bndboogie8 жыл бұрын
I do agree! The camera and editing work is really unbelievably bad during this amazing guitar solo.
