This Feel My Rhythm got a lot of hint: 1. Joy lying on water (Ophelia - John Everett Milley) 2. Irene swing ("The Swing" - Fragonard) 3. Irene with umbrella with Seulgi ("The Woman Holding the Umbrella" - Monet) 4. Yeri Hair Style with strawberry ("Four Seasons" - Mucha) 5. At the End of the MV is the fountain frome from the painting of Hieronymus Bosch , it can be found in The Garden of Earthly Delights 6. Seulgi standing on the ladder (paul dominique - lady looking behind the wall) 7. Wendy & Yeri looking at Joy in the water (paul dominique - Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus) Hieronymus Bosch painting is all related to this Feel My Rhythm MV including the RedVelvet all sitting inside of room with a table (actually is a monster)(Climbing the Ladder: On Hieronymus Bosch's Vision of Hell) This is a Triptych - a single narrative artwork split into 3 panels. the castle at the end of the MV is in the first panel. So Reveluv : We might get a lot of comeback this year like Irene say in the comeback live countdown. Prepare for it Luvies!💝💛💙💚💜 Oh, I also forgot the theory of strawberry, can't remember it.

I have another theory about the storyline because this mv reminds me a lot of Swan Lake story. Joy as Odette, a princess who has been transformed into a white swan by an evil sorcerer. Her human form is trapped because of the curse. Seulgi as Odile, the sorcerer’s daughter. She is the villain of the story that manipulate the Prince to marry her instead of Odette. She can transform into a crow too. Irene represents moon / midnight. The time when Odette can transform into her human form. Talking about details, the dancer’s outfit looks like shining stars too. Wendy represents the lake/water, the place where the swan lives. Yeri i’m not really sure but i think she represents the forest fairy because of the berries, plants, and animals that dancing around her or maybe she represents the true love that can break the swan princess curse.

I got a lot of Greek Mythology vibes in Yeri’s set specifically. She seems to be in a pearl on the ocean which is how Aphrodite was born. There are also a lot of Persephone vibes which might just be because of the spring theme of the music video but I thought that Joy was representing Persephone since she’s in a flower. When he was explaining how Wendy was looking for Spring and how Seulgi and and Irene don’t want spring to come it reminded me of the Myth of Persephone with Persephone (or Joy) being trapped in the underworld during Fall and Winter and returning to the overworld during Spring and Summer. Wendy could be Demeter (Persephone’s mother) trying to rescue her daughter from Hades who could be Seulgi. I’m not sure who Irene would be in this theory lol. The Strawberry symbolism also reminded me of the pomegranates in the myth. All this being said I don’t know any of the history and story telling abou the pictures depicted at the beginning so I’m just going off the sets in this. So I don’t think it’s right but I thought it was interesting nevertheless.

First of all: if Reveluv are going to complain about Queendom being too safe--this isn't safe! I really liked this song. Earbuds/earphones are mandatory, btw. The whole track was so lush and fresh; not a moment unused. It gave me chills at the chorus. I do wish they had given the song a full outro rather than just ending it so abruptly, though. I also noted some classical painting inspiration in the MV, specifically that one painting of Ophelia drowning at the beginning (Joy lying in the water), and at the end with Hieronymus Bosch's depiction of Eden and humanity's sin (don't know any of the actual names for these paintings, sorry lol). There are clearly some dark undertones implicated. With regard to the strawberries, it seems that Seulgi receives them as a sacrifice or tribute from the other members. Perhaps they're meant to symbolize the forbidden fruit of Genesis. Or she is something like the serpent, enticing the other members who are all in the garden at the beginning. Not sure why she's an owl though.

Oh wow PD, I think your theory is pretty accurate. Yeri has spoiled some interesting details before the comeback in a press conference. She said (and I respectfully loosely translate her words): "In the MV there are a lot of contrasts, like seasons, days and nights. Some members want to stay in the winter, while others want to go to the spring." Seulgi has said that Joy and Yeri were spring, Irene and Wendy were winter, and added that people had to watch the MV to know who she was. I think your observation about this MV is super detailed and on point! Hopes to see more theories in both musically and visually aspects from you.

I think Feel My Rhythm >>>>> Psycho. Its just so damn good. Of course, I think Psycho is longevity wise more iconic, but I feel a certain enjoyment in FMR that I don't get from Psycho.

I honestly think this is one of their best music videos, it’s a perfect mix of elegant and horror (literally one of the best kpop concept combos imo)

While I believe there’s a couple French artist-inspired visuals in here, it’s all primarily pulled straight from Bosch, who was actually a Dutch painter who lived in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Feel My Rhythm is neither red nor velvet. It's a Red Velvet song as you said. This is a perfect song for the season. The music and mv quality are so good that it might beat Bad Boy and Psycho at the top of my RV list.

My favorite part about the song is that it is kind of up beat and poppy but that classical violin sound in the background makes it more eerie and dramatic. The initial chorus sounds so weird but I love it

I love how SM is doing a good job for Red Velvet, normally SM tends to forget their previous groups, as soon as they have a new one and lack promotion, but I'M really really happy that they still make an afford for Red Velvet and don't forget about them. they even have a new stylist since Queendom and love their new stylist already so much more, cause they style Yeri so much better than the previous ones.

Oh man I cant even begin to explain how much I love this comeback. The music video is so incredible and as an art student I'm so interested to see how they managed to literally bring The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch to life. It's truly beyond all my expectations and I'm really looking forward to seeing the behind the scenes

Best comeback so far this year. The song is superb , the video aesthetically stunning representing the variety of classic paintings and artists, each member absolutely mesmerising.... And Darnupop already making the 8bit version lol

First of all: PD loves portrait of a lady on fire…I see you’re a person of culture as well 😌 Secondly - I really loved this comeback, to me this feels like the direction they were going with Psycho before Wendy got injured. It feels very innovative. Also I appreciate your pointing out the darker elements of the video - I didn’t totally notice them. Idk if they’re trying to bring RV into the whole SM cinematic universe they’re building and maybe it has something to do with adding lore? If so that would be exciting.

I think what they meant by a "French aesthetic" was that it felt very Renaissance era inspired, because that's what I felt. I think the mv and clothing was inspired by all those old art pieces. This song is genuinely one of my favorite red velvet comebacks. This unique concept is an all time favorite of mine, I love the artistic vibe, and as someone who's favorite movie is Alice in Wonderland, I had a field day with this lol. Red Velvet never fails to amaze me!!

The painting portions of the video give me big Loving Victor vibes! An excellent movie if you haven’t seen it; and entirely hand painted animated short film. Also my favorite lyric is “Pride and Prejudice got nothing on us”

This song is just perfect u cant tell me otherwise. The way the modern trap beat sounds so charismatic and there’s something about this classic piece “air on the g string” sounds so warm. All of these combined makes this song so magical 🤍🪄

I loved it, the whole music video had a lot of the references of famous paintings, and possible links to smcu, but the song made me emotional, it made happy and hopeful, somehow it's the continuation of "hey now we'll be ok" and it's almost as they are saying we're safe now and the sky it's the limit
