No doubt this is one of the best STAYC's songs. The thing that caught me the most was the melody structure, it's so dynamic and moves a lot, specially in the chorus, but it does it in a way that turns emotions out of you, even if you don't look at the lyrics. One major achievement here is that the song structure is so good that they easily performed it in different styles/arrangements (reggae-ish and piano-voice with Sieun), this means that musically the song is so well done, production and arrangement could be done differently and it would have worked too (although production wise the song is amazing).

Stylistically, it’s a break from their earlier releases, and I think it works as a perfect segue way into the next phase of their careers. They had really found their niche with the teen fresh, synth-pop, r&b sound, but man, this entire comeback just proves their versatility. It’s clear Rado PD and the entire team at High Up really puts the upmost thought and care into these girls, their future is VERY bright.

I don't know if STAYC is leveling up because I sort of feel they already were maxed level and now people are starting to notice. I suppose on the production side yeah. PD is right, they are getting budgeted fairly now. I like that they don't just have to rely on their music and can finally show the other side of being an idol. The one thing that I can say is that I really was impressed with this song and how it felt like they were truly telling a story and was giving us the storyline not just within the lyrics but also within a music video and it felt very emotional. The melody in the verses sounds like something that Carrie Underwood would sing, maybe that's what evoked the sadness from me. The pre-chorus was the sweetener that healed my sorrow. The defiance of the chorus, for me, sounds like the strength & anger in a lot of country songs that lifted my spirit up and give me hope. i absolutely enjoy this song so much. i becamed hook just at my first time listening. i love its whimsical and magical feel and i love the song itself, how it was produced (makes me feel like im in a magical fantasy world) and i just love how their voices are so beautiful! i listened to your entire explanation about the lighting and i was like woah i didnt even realize how much technicality was involved, respects to the staff and team! overall, this is really my kind of genre or musical style that i love listening to, and i love sumin's pre chorus and sieuns 2nd chorus so much. im saying i love alot but i really love this song, thats all, and thanks for another amazing reaction!

what's funny with me is it's kind of the opposite with me for STAYC; the first listen I'm always like "this is good but it doesn't beat their last title track" and then I keep listening more and more and suddenly "I LOVE THIS SONG IT'S PERFECT". They became my #1 during the Stereotype era and luckily were able to manifest it with RUN2U. BM is a very nice song fitting for summer and goes well with the other great songs released during that time. So I'm not worried about their future. If anyone can be trusted, it's BEP.
