Idea for next bike check: as you moved from world tour events to very long distance and gravel, has your position changed? In which way? How about as you got older?

Good question!

Great call. I'll try to incorporate that into the next videos. And if I don't, please ask again cause it means I just forgot!

Can we get a tour divide video? A run down of how it went and what happened?
@TedKing1 Жыл бұрын
It’s been a work in progress for months. I’ll see if it’s still in the cards.

Can you talk about the Rhabdomyolysis you had? I had it on a brevet where I got baked in the sun on the first day and couldn't keep any food or liquids down on day 2. What was your recovery like? My creatine blood level was 1680 and I took 4+ liters of fluid in the er after the ride,,, good to see you back on the bike

I was pretty punch drunk for maybe 10 days, 2 weeks. I have been pretty much fine after that, thankfully. I appreciate you asking.

Can we talk about that shop for a bit? Just when I think my bike workspace (it would be a stretch to call it a shop) is getting set up well, I see what the somebody six levels up is working with. Sweet!

Definitely done properly. Not to mention it's a part bike museum!

Bear spray🤦♂I'm from the UK, and the thought of meeting a hungry bear in the woods, especially if I had tired legs doesn't bare thinking about!! And the thought that I could get close enough to spray one, and you have a product for this? OMG no thank you, we have wasps in the UK, and thats more than enough🐝🐝🐝

At least there's a spray for bears.

Nice bike, and yes it looks sharp. What saddle do you ride? I noticed on the last few bike build videos I've seen you don't mention the saddle. Thanks
@TedKing1 Жыл бұрын
It's a Fizik Tempo Argo. I'm a fan, but I rarely talk about saddles because everyone's taint is different so what works for me, doesn't work for everyone. Anyway, I like it.

I hope the new grape mapleaid is caffeine free. I love the lemon tea flavor but wish they would make a non caffeine flavor. I know the ginger one is caffeine free but do not like the spicy taste of the ginger. I've suggested they make a raspberry lemonade since they already have those ingredients in their other products. The bike and the event looks great. Any events coming up in Vermont anytime soon?

It's deeeeelicious. And caffeine free.

Glad to see you healthy and back on the podium TK! So you destroyed your carbon “gravel” frame just by riding it in a “gravel” race? I thought that’s what it was made for…🤷
@jonathonmcmillan9410 Жыл бұрын
He's not the only one. That mud was like grinder wheels wearing through carbon frames this year.
@ShawnStradamus520 Жыл бұрын
@@jonathonmcmillan9410 I never heard of that before! I wonder if that can that happen to a metal (steel, ti, Al) frame? Does the manufacturer warranty cover that?

"A gravel race trashed your bike. Now what?" -- Ben Delaney Video. Can you imagine that type of event? Key rule don't keep riding with all that mud if you like your bicycle. Ride the grass...anything you can do to avoid that mud.
@lazlo2511 Жыл бұрын
Better yet avoid the event completely… total BS that riders go home with tested bikes. Those organisers need a wake up call. There are far better events.. way better and you can still take your bike home.
