If i'm not mistaken,the sindar were called but they chose to remain in middle earth and refused the summonings of Ulmo to Valynor(Ulmo beiing the god of the seas),so they ended up being called the Moriquendy,the dark elves by the gods(and a few other groups of elves) because they chose to stay behind(Note:The term ,,Dark Elves" dosen't sugest that they were evil or something,just that they weren't able to see the light of the 2 trees of Valinor,so yea)

Elf types Short version: Sindar (Grey Elves): started going to Valinor. Stopped at the ocean. Noldor (Deep Elves): went to Valinor but came back to recover the Silmarils. Men call them "High Elves" because of thier skill and knowledge and due to their Kingship in Lindon.

Hello, Dutchman. I hope you and the family is OK. Well, just for info, since you ask for it. Edhellond is pronounced Έ-the-lond and it means "an Elven port". This town doesn't have a clear past. In Unfinished Tales, it is described as an Elven colony, isolated from any other colonies in Middle Earth. There are various thoeries for them. One is that these Elves, of Sindar origin, disagreed with the friendly policy towards Khazad-dum, having in their memory the sacking of Menegroth from the Dwarves back in the First Age, thus they left and settled in an isolated place, where their port was built. Another theory says that these Elves came from Lorien and their port was a passage towards Valinor, since the Elves had the ability to leave Middle Earth to return to Aman and those who had never left could also go to Aman. So, Edhellond offered a port to Elves to embark for Aman. The third theory is that the town was made by Elves of the people of Cirdan, the Falathrim, as a guard fort to watch Mordor and the colonies of the Numenoreans in the South, especially Umbar and Pelargir, the two main colonies that were at war. The Principality of Pelargir is actually the base for the foundation of Gondor. Here, the mod team seems to adopt the third theory, that of a fort of the Falathrim to watch the moves of Umbar and Pelargir and also monitor the moves of Mordor. At the time, Sauron was considered a prisoner of ar-Pharazon the Golden, but actually Sauron has spoiled the mind of the King to push him to attack to Valinor, which caused the fall of Numenor, what we call Akkalabeth. So, Edhellond had the mission to monitor Mordor to see when Sauron would return and what would be the first moves of Mordor. Because everyone knew that Mordor would declare an all-out war against the whole world. If you conquer the rest of the peninsula, you will have the lands that would later, in the Third Age, belong to Dol Amroth. And it's true that Edhellond forms the base for what will become the Principality of Dol Amroth. I hope that I gave you a good piece of info, have a nice time!

Hi! Just I want to metion that now recomended is normal/hard. In one of patches I removed most of AI bonuses on higher difficulty. Now is here only some battle bonuses (I unsure how to remove them) but these don't affect too much on hard difficulty so don't destroy gameplay in mod. So if you want to play with a bit better (and more agresive) AI then you can feel free to play on hard ;)

Ah cool, I'll probably do the next campaign on hard then, although I do like normal difficulty as well, it's a bit more relaxing than my usual Legendary stuff. :D

Adding to what others have said the sindar within that group were the falathrim which were known as shore elves. Generally sindar were known for shipwrights and port cities and Cirdan was in control of a palantir and Grey Havens. Were in the region of Harlindon and Forlindon,others spread around but that's where lot were.

The first born of Iluvatar will show the world why they are the first born and thus the superior race. The elves are essentially immortal and have trained for Millenias so it makes sense how good they are, in the books during the first age the elves were able to fight Balrogs and Dragons, one elf high king Fingolfin was able to fight toe to toe with Melkor who is basically a god and Sauron's boss. If you think Sauron is a threat Melkor was a Valar essentially the gods of middle earth, Melkor was the first dark lord and an elf was able to wound him so badly that he had to limp for the rest of his life. The Valar and Maiar can be considered gods but the actual creator of the Tolkien universe is Eru Iluvatar and he created the Valar and Maiar races who are like archangels and angels the Valar being the higher race and the Maiar being the lower race of angels. Eru doesn't really do anything in the world he just left the angels to live and create their own world.

I love to think Tolkien's world similar with the Christian bible. Melkor is similar to Lucifer and Manwe similar to Michael. Valars as Archangels, and Maiars as the lower ranking angels. I don't really consider Valars as gods since they all serve Eru which is the supreme deity of the lore. But it all comes down to the readers right? xD

Noldor are first high elves, Sindar are basically the wooden elves yes, those who never saw the gods Valar and the light of the trees of Valinor

Nice mod, but why play on Normal..? Hard alone still makes the game too easy, normal you don't even have to try...

That was the recommended mod difficulty. I play all my normal campaigns on legendary, but I tried that with the mod a while ago and it simply wasn’t fun because of the ridiculous morale units have in this mod. I will play on hard for future campaigns though as the developer told me that’s doable as well now.
