The Last of Us - Bill, Frank, & Lincoln

The town of Lincoln is one of the more unique locations that Joel and Ellie visit in their adventures. As they spend their time exploring the town, they come to learn about the history of the town: what life was like before the infected, why it was forsaken by the remnants of humanity, and about the one man still clings onto his chosen secluded life style in the town. I've always felt Bill's Town was one of the best chapters of the game, along with the University as well. They both have intense moments but also plenty of downtime where you can just look around and piece things together with Ellie. Bill is a fantastic character and my favorite side character in the game. He's layered with the same element of tragedy that makes Joel so interesting to see in action. I wish we got to spend more time with him. He was great.

I could've sworn that Bill and Frank were boyfriends. Because of the magazines Bill has, the way he talks about the body, and a few other details. I think the game devs just said "partner" to avoid ruffling some feathers.

Any thoughts on the infected in the locked apartment or the trucks hauling the safe???

Nothing revolutionary. For the truck, seems like Bob and Brad bailed on it even though the note writer didn't want them to (although I didn't look to see if the truck was crashed or if there was a body in it, so I can't say this with 100% certainty). For the locked apartment, that's a strange one. The "locked" door and unpacked bags makes you think that Ezra never left the apartment and turned into an infected there. Maybe soldiers found out he was infected and blocked the door so he couldn't get out, but if that was the case, why was he still a Runner? The max amount of time that someone remains a Runner is 1 month (according to what I've read), so if it was Ezra, he should be a Clicker bordering on becoming a Bloater at that point. Given how "fresh" that infection seems, I would say the person in the apartment is actually one of those random survivors that Bill hates. He got infected by one of the many infected that wander the town, and either locked himself away, or (more unlikely) Bill locked him in there. That or I'm reading too much into it. Lol. Yeah, I guess so. Honestly though, the story in The Last of Us is pretty straight forward, so they won't be as interesting as Hotline Miami, but they're still fun to do nonetheless! The only other things I can think of talking about (before the second game adds some more stuff) is the Infected and the Fireflies, and I'm not sure if people would be interested in those. Guess it wouldn't hurt though, huh? Lol. Thanks for watching!

October 4 It's official, school is closed indefinitely. I guess this outbreak is good for something. No school = no homework, which is fine by me. Now what do I do with all this free time? October 5 Mom and Dad were fighting. They were somehow yelling at each other while whispering at the same time. It sounded like Mom wants to leave - go to her sister's. Dad says it's safe here. That the outbreak won't reach our town. October 6 Dad yelled at me for listening to the radio. He says that the news is bullshit. Mom agreed with him while putting on a brave face, but I can tell she's scared. They both look scared. October 7 I think Dad felt bad about yesterday. Gadget was asleep in my bed and Dad didn't say anything about it. He came in, petted him, sighed, and walked out. I've never seen him like this. October 10 Dad was consoling mom last night. Aunt Karen is dead... at least that's what I think I heard. When we sat for breakfast, everyone was all quiet, as if nothing happened. I played along. October 15 Officer Jones stopped by and chatted with Dad. More like whispered with Dad - lots of that going around these days. Afterwards Dad told us that we have to leave town. We have to go to a new home. That the military will protect us. I'm only allowed to bring one bag with me. Mom just sat there. October 16 Where we're going, there are no pets allowed. We drove to the edge of town with Gadget. I took off his collar and let him go. On the drive back Dad kept talking about how he'll be fine. "He's meant to be free in the wild." Whatever. October 17 It's time. Dad says we'll be back before we know it... I think he's full of it.
