The studio looks amazing and comfy. It's also darker in tone so it fits with the show. The game director got to direct this episode, which is really cool and interesting cause you would think it'd be hard to transition between the two, but because of how story driven the game is and using actors for voices and motion capture

The scene with the clickers was perfectly creepy. It would be amazing if each episode started with a scene unrelated to the main plot somewhere on earth showing the spread progressively

This episode was almost like watching the game they even had Ellie messing with the bell and saying the exact same lines she had in the first game and yeah Tess gets infected and dies very early in the game of course they had the main actress from Fringe play her character also Magy say hello to the clickers lol

Good news is she is alive in an alternate universe where she is actually and FBI agent working on "Fringe" cases, such as alternate universes... such as this one where this version of her is named Tess and gets bitten by fungus zombies. : P

Its not just a kiss. The fungus has the ability to control the host totally and make them to spread the infection. Tess has infected, but not at 100%, the mouth of the infected is capable to spread the infection.

The "zombies" are not from virus infection but a fungus one. Fungus are an entirely separate living kingdom and fungus infections are much harder to treat.

Simply explained... Fungis, like trees, have roots. These are spread over large areas. If one of these mutations dies or stands on one of these extensive roots, it works like a telephone line and the rest comes running. But it only works with direct contact with the ground and only if such a root happens to run long. The probability is high, since now 20 years have passed, so a lot of time to distribute. In fact, there is an area on earth that has exactly this network in the soil of fungi over several kilometers. But I don't know where that was. You may have noticed that the fungus broke out in a flour and grain factory in Indonesia. Flour and grain are exported to various countries pure or in products. This is how the fungus most likely spread. In the pilot, there was constant talk about cookies. Sarah, Joel and Tommy never ate any. But the old lady in the wheelchair has eaten and then mutated. Fungus also like it moist and shady. That's why the basement in the house likes to mold. Mold is a type of fungus. That's why the mutants try to get out of the light. Otherwise, they will dry up in the long run.

One of the best things the leadership of this show did was tell the Art Team "Find the beauty in it." It makes everything else so hauntingly beautiful and terrifying. So no, you're not wrong for saying its beautiful.

RIP Tess The infected in the museum are clickers there blind and use echolocation hence the clicking sounds they make, have been infected for at least a year. The "kiss" apparently was to show the fungas recognition of Tess as part of itself Great reaction Magy 😃👍

I also like how the episodes are being mixed with some upgrades and new material never before seen in the game which give the series its own independence . With that said I really liked episode , i think it was flushed out quite damn good .

The "behind the scenes" shows that they used real actors and stunt people. No mocap. But they did study the game movements so they would know how to behave.

It sucks seeing Tess go out like that, giving enough time for Joel and Ellie to escape from the infected. And what’s different from the first game and the TV series is that in the game, Tess sacrifices herself to allow Joel and Ellie to escape from their pursers, and in the TV series, Tess sacrifices herself to let Joel and Ellie escape from the infected. Hey, Magy. I don't think I watch the first two episodes of "The Last of Us" on HBO Max, but I usually watch a family sitcom from 1969 called "The Brady Bunch". I watched the first two seasons, and it was pretty enjoyable. The series revolves around a large blended family with six children. It introduced married couples, Carol and Mike Brady, who had six children: Marcia, Greg, Jan, Peter, Cindy and Bobby, and their housekeeper, Alice. When I heard that the same people who worked on Chernobyl were going to work on TLOU the scene when the plant workers had to drain the tanks at the bottom floor of the plant immediately came to mind. I thought if they can make this scene incredibly nerve racking imagine what they could do with the clickers. Even though I played the game and knew how it would go I was somehow even MORE terrified than when I played the game! It’s also the scene I’ve been waiting for people who have not played the game to see the most. As for Tess’ ending, I think it was actually done better than the game. The scene of the mycelium (the fungal threads) going into her mouth was incredibly disgusting but the look in her eye when it happened showed that even though she was about to turn into one of them she managed used that iron will of hers to force herself through those last seconds before turning to burn them all. Stand and applaud for Anna Torv everyone!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

At first, I thought the Tess's scene was weird, but after seeing it again it made more sense to me, she just let it do it's thing because if she moves or fights back, it will go into kill mode and she has to be in control as long as possible, to make that lighter work and her mouth is the easiest way to soft tissue, so that's how I see it
