We got a new update for Fallout 4 on Monday 5/13 and some fixes. New display modes also change some things up on the Series X | S and PS5. After getting some hours in with the new update, I thought I'd put a quick update video together.. about the update... to the update...

Hello! Got some hours in with this update and wanted to give everyone... an update. Also TreyM Film Looks seems to be working now!! (shout out to F4XboxMods Reddit). DEF UI is still a no-go. What display mode you are rocking with on Series X or S?

I've used that Megaton mod that uses TreyM preset for it's 4 presets. I have used a lot of Vintage preset. I always tweak things with NAT. Lowered exposure, lowered the Sky box, upped contrast some, and uses Display Enhancements for it's HDR settings to really make everything pop. Only it can take a few weather changes to really kick in visually. The game must store its lighting settings in the weather records and likely it takes a switch to new weather records to add in the majority of those HDR settings. NAT has some too, but I find not as impactful. Anyway with all of that, my game no longer looks flat af. It really pops like an ENB would. Only without the total customization you'd get along with a solid ENB which can make the game look absolutely incredible. But I do try my best to get the best lighting the Series X can possibly deliver. 👍😎

@@fyf87 Performance cause the game looks great to me already. I marked some more things on the spreadsheet since it seems the character overhauls can lead to stuttering and Spiffy's mods got removed. I'll have an update on that this weekend probably. Just been busy with work.... and Starfield 🤣

Hopefully the mods work when I upload everything probably to have to do a hard reset like you said I usually play offline I just have to go in and get my mod order

Seriously appreciate these. I still am holding off on updating cause my current playthrough has 150 mods and 29 days of playtime. So these updates are helping a bunch on holding off till hopefully this all gets sorted out. Definitely subscribed cause aside from that, you got great Fallout content!

Welcome aboard. Always best to make a duplicate save and keep track of your mods just in case. You can always reinstall stuff. I’m about 30 hrs in with mods on a new game so it seems like there’s issues going on outside of the update for some but not everyone; like with mod updates and such. But maybe patches aren’t installing correctly for some. It’s a doozy. I’ll keep an eye out for updates.

@@Matt_the_TechRanger Well I appreciate it man. And ya luckily I prepped for the update and have my save file backed up on an external hard drive and have been just playing my Xbox offline. I do all most of my gaming on my PS5, so I can keep playing offline till this all gets sorted out. Worst case scenario is to finish this playthrough offline and then try out the update after that.

Vivid Fallout aio and Polluted Climate. 60 fps performance mode

@@ClapperDan It's a personal preference. Vivid is a texture mod. The Ultra Settings mod is not if that is what you're referring to.

Game running on native 1440p60hz with “Ultra“ settings on my XBSX, connected to a 1440p120hz monitor with VRR. For me it feels absolutely perfect. 👍 Visual mode with 60 FPS enabled. For me it is better than a dynamic resolution or only “Standard“ settings..

Yo matt , do you have any idea how to fix the “ tween menu “ problem in skyrim , this makes us unable to access our game menu ( inventory, magic , map , skills ) , i could not find a fix yet , P.S im on xbox one

If you have a mod that changes controls then that could be it. If not, try resetting your controls/bindings to default.

The only issue i have had is VATS, being able to hit enemies through walls breaks the immersion for me a bit 😂

I've noticed that one as well on occasion. Sometimes if it doesn't flash 0%, I'll still miss VATS shots 😅

Yes! I tried both the TreyM Framework and the LUT Framework. Tried a couple film looks for each and everything seemed to work as intended. I’ll make a Short about it this weekend.

I'm not getting the 40 FPS mode. I have a 65" Samsung QN90C with AMD Freesync Premium , set to 1440p 120Hz and still only see toggles for 30 and 60 fps.

Make sure VRR is activated in your Xbox Display Settings.

If it's in Boston then it's probably from the update. But if its elsewhere and you're on an OG Xbox One, it could be your harddrive

@@deionchapek6644 check your load order for conflicts. Read mod descriptions to see if there’s specific instructions for placement. Some mods like the Unofficial patch may have caused issues.

Unlock FPS all of a sudden doesn't work on Xbox anymore today. Game runs like total garbage with mods now. It was running flawlessly yesterday. Now it's unplayable and choppy.

If you’re on Xbox Series X | S then that mod will most likely cause issues now since you can run the game with a target of 60 in the Display settings.

It's not really that type of game 🤷‍♂ That would be lit outside sometimes though. You could spec into VATS. I did make a video on third person animation mods though

@@ClapperDan It's not going to replace everything. But if you're not seeing any new animations, you may need to move those mods higher in your list. Or it could be conflicting if you have other mods that affect animations.
