I just recently purchased an Inspiration series LC500. IMO all of the reviewers that complain about the trackpad really haven't had enough time using it. It was a concern when I went in blind buying it online, but now that I've had the car for a few weeks I actually really like it and prefer the clean look of the screen behind that panel of glass over the newer slapped on touch pad that Lexus just released. Not to mention you can easily do most of what you want via the steering wheel controls or voice command. You can get to the heated and cooled seats section simply by asking the car to go to that screen. Really not a big deal at all. I'm a car guy and this is car is special IMO. I've owned and currently own faster cars, but this is a GT with one of the sexiest designs ever created by an auto manufacturer. The amount of strangers that approach me and ask me what it is really surprises me. I'm going to keep this one for a very long time. Absolutely love it!

It sounds ,handles, looks and performs exceptionally well. I can not overstate how pleasurable the car drives and handles . I ordered my bespoke build LC500 coupe a year ago and bought it in May. I have watched as many reviews of the car as I can, and what most of them fail to mention is that the one “flaw” of the infotainment system isn’t really one after the day you buy it. Why? Because once you are finished with all your settings you won’t need to touch it again. I use the voice command feature and just tell car what I want. I tell Apple CarPlay what I want to listen to. I set the climate concierge feature the day I bought it, set my ideal temperature to 71 degrees and every time I sit in the car, it uses at least 10 sensors to reach it within a minute! When your paying over $100k for a car, you expect class, quality and reliability. JD Power ranked Lexus #1 this year. The looks are so stunning that even people that are not into cars will stop me to tell how much they like it. The ride is quiet and the car really has a dual personality with its different modes. I love that it is so rare and I will bet that it will go up in value in 10+ years - and I still will be driving it!

In about a year or so I will be buying one of these and keeping it as long as I can. This is going to be a classic much like the LFA is. I hate that Lexus didn't make an LC F. That would have been bonkers but I guess they have the new model coming (LF R) but that is going to be much more expensive than this. Probably something like 120-130 base price My target price is 55-60k for something with like 25-30k miles on it. We are already there, so I don't see a problem buying one on the lower end in a year as prices come down more

So for the past 4 weeks I had been shopping for a sports car (a GT style that I can daily drive). Decided that my birthday (I will be 46 in 2 weeks) is coming up so wanted to gift myself a nice car since my wife and kids (son is 17 and daughter is 21) all have nice cars. Had to get them all settled before I can splurge on myself. So I narrowed the choices down to the Lexus LC500, Chevy Corvette C8, and the Jag F-Type. I am a previous Lexus & Jag owner. Sat in the C8 and it sits extremely low to the ground and it is a nice car but its really wide looking. I test drove the LC500 (the new 2024 model that has the new touchscreen infotainment system up close to the driver) about 3 weeks ago at a local dealer and it was nice. I knew I wanted this over the C8. It was more comfortable for me and easier to get in and out. The car was too comfortable and I didn't get that sports car feel though when my wife and I test drove it. But I love this car. When I test drove the F-Type it was all over. Both wife and I agreed this was the one. We got the luxury GT feeling along with the sports car feel, with the addition of having more mods available than the LC500 as well. Lexus wanted like $25k more as well as they marked it up and were not willing to negotiate at all. I ended up buying the F-Type this past Sunday and it is absolutely amazing. Now it is time to do a few small mods to it. But I think I still would of loved the LC500 as no doubt it is an amazing car......just has a big butt according to my wife.

I sat in an LC500 at a car show and it was rather commical trying to get out...or maybe I should say get UP. The seat is very low and the door sill is extremely thick. Swinging my legs out, my feet didn't touch the ground, so I had no leverage to lift myself out. It's not like a truck situation where you can slide out either. I had to put my left hand on the ground and rolling myself out on all fours with my ass in the air. Not exactly dignified. 😂

The back seat should just be a storage shelf. The next version should be a small V-8. Maybe a 3.0L + hybrid. I'd be OK with that assuming they keep the 10-speed.

Lexus lent me RC300, the car was so quiet and refined, no sound just pure luxury feel. Such a different car than I am use to driving.

That is me getting in and out of a Jeep Wrangler. When you hit 53 years old, your spine quits working! Add on plantar fasciitis, both of your feet are numb,

I noticed the seat didn’t slide forward or back when you tried to go in the back. Must mean you didn’t activate the auto ingress feature which will slide the seat forward and back when the lever on the back is lifted. Auto stop if it comes into contact as well

Re styling, the side burn features just outside the grille will prevent it from being timeless, because it's a fad of our times. I can dismiss that but the rocker panel gives a bent chassis vibe. Like it folded on a lift.

A "pretty well done review" except for the infotainment nonsense. First off, you CAN get two sets of golf clubs with cart bags in the trunk. Simply pull out the driver and fairway woods and lay them on top. No problem. The "infotainment" system is fantastic once you've taken the time to do what adults do and read the OWNER'S MANUAL. Learn VOICE COMMAND and you almost never need the trackpad leaving your eyes ON THE ROAD where they belong. Unless you are doing something extraordinary, VOICE COMMAND does 98% of the work. As for the seats, simply press the TALK BUTTON on the steering wheel and say "show front seat heat warmer screen" and you're there ready to slide your fingers up or down. That's really no different than having a button somewhere. The LC is not a race car. It's a car for responsible people who obey the traffic laws and don't horse around like kids. A 0-60 time of 4.4 is real as my LC 500, which I've owned just short of five years, still does easily. And, the best part of all is these cars are extremely well-made and very reliable, unlike certain other cars which noodniks buy because of the badge. In my five years the car has been flawless. The only flaw, if you think it's a flaw, is the car isn't a four passenger car at all. Only a very small child can sit in back. If you want a four passenger car, don't buy an LC500, buy an SUV. One last thing...the new LC's have a TOUCH SCREEN which if used, requires the driver to take his eyes off the road while traveling at 120 feet per second. Anyone who thinks THIS is a good idea is nuts! But, to each....his own.

I hate the touch pad. I've sampled units going back to 2010's debut of "remote touch." Hundreds of permutations of this system, all of which get upgraded. Why? Because Lexus listens to their clients. Sure, you dig your system, but I hate it - and so do many others. But, to each - his own.

The 2018 LC rides really harsh and awkward. The suspension was significantly improved for 2019 and up. You won't find those years under $70k.

If you don’t like the Pad use voice control! Just because the V8 is an extremely god car doesn’t make the Hybrid junk. Hoses for causes!

This ride is stuck in the past. The only thing is the exterior. The dash had to be redesigned and updated tech. It's a looker thow.. :-D But I'd get a Bentley with 12!

This 5.0L V8 should have been the new engine in the Toyota Tundra. What a missed opportunity. I would take that Lexus 5.0L V8 over the Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 any day of the week.

Does the RC have more space in the back? I fit back there at 5 foot 10...granted I had someone short (5'6) sitting in front of me, but even sitting behind my own sitting position wasn't too uncomfortable

Look at your hand while using the touch pad? Do you look at your hand when you type or do you look at your screen?

Both. Like many, I occasionally glance at my hands for positioning. Being that I write for a dozen websites, I type often. So, glancing for hand position is commonplace.
