This is a great street fighting take down into a head lock, with an arm bar across the knee when your down

Seems like a high risk technique to me. If this fails your back might be taken. Reminds me of the Judo throw that without gi is very risky as well and you can see it getting countered in MMA or BJJ but even in Judo with gi.

I can never keep Kasakatame long, I know how to make tight, control back take and so on but can you transition to side control some how?

one way is to scoot your hips on top of their chest/stomach and pretty much hop over to side control on the other side, i first saw that in ryan hall's open elbow dvd but i think it's pretty common

foulfortune What stops them from rolling u over when loaded on they hips? got I link not sure I understand

@@1lostinspace you wanna stay higher up on their body, away from their hips. I don't think you can do this if they have a bodylock around you, which would be the most likely scenario for you to get rolled over. Try to keep weight on their shoulders to keep them flat. I imagine if you were to control the wrist of the arm you have trapped, there's no way they can roll you mid-transition.

People Generally slate Aikido, but that is an Aikido Principle! I think also being up by the Shoulder girdle is positive in BJJ as an Aikido Principle!
