No one ever talks about Korra's connection to Jinora, Ikki & Meelo. Its so beautiful since she is the reincarnation of their grandfather. It's like Aang got to know them through Korra for awhile & they got to know a part of their grandfather.

I see it as the usual keeping people under your control. If you can't use fear, you use propaganda. And here is like a mind conditioning tactic being used. Kuvira's whole schtick is the cult of personality. The more people are loyal to her in such degree, the more she can easily exploit them and easily discard once they're done being used.

Just a reminder that yes that is the exact same swamp from the first Avatar series and it causes people to have hallucinations/visions. This explains why Korra had visions of the enemies she took down in previous seasons. Toph likely doesn't get any visual hallucinations cause she is blind. Although it may be possible Toph could have at least heard voices from the Swamp she has lived there so long that it no longer effects her.

One of my favorite scenes, in the 4th episode Toph explains how all Korra's past enemies had convictions that weren't inherently bad. Equality for all, spirits reconnecting to nature, freedom, all good in their own right but shouldn't be taken to the extreme, because everything needs balance. This was such a profound thing for me, cause it also makes you view the "bad guys" and just opposite/different views in a new empathetic light. If only we treated everyone and all situations in the world like this. Take a step back and try to understand. I have kept that to my heart since and I try my best.

First off, nice callback to Bitter Work. Second off, I think it's perfectly reasonable and makes sense that everyone thought there was no more poison in Korra's body given how small the individual traces were. Think of how many people in real life think they've fully recovered from something only to find out later on they haven't. Maybe she subconsciously kept some in her, maybe she didn't, who knows? Either way credit to Toph for pointing it out before things potentially got worse.

One thing i like that they did with Korra. Season 1 and 2 the main villain was a Water Bender. Season 3 was an Airbender. Season 4 is an earth bender. The main antagonist is never a fire bender. Which is a nice break after 3 seasons of "the fire nation (and dai lee however you spell it) are evil.

I understand Toph just wanted some peace in the swamp, but with how she and Katara bonded, no matter how rocky it was, it would've been so damn heartwarming.
