He's just real, i saw a clip of him speaking in mandarin or some dialect i cant exactly pin down. He was conversing with the lady selling slippers etc and you could just tell it was banter. He has avoided the trap of the stone Buddha, he who attains enlightenment just to sit forever in a lotus pose to maintain it. Jiang Yu Shan had achieved something and is able to come back to the people and share it

*It is not idol worship!* The monkey king although immortal is not a diety. Immortality can also be translated to mean having a long life. The monkey King borrows from Buddhist and Taoist practice but isn't devoted to any religion imo. And yet isn't atheist either. Research the story of Milarepa. Please.

The practice of making offerings, imitation, and burning incense to it make it an idol. Study up on pagan lore. Majority of the deities are not actually immortal. They can grow tired, sleep, feel emotion, hurt, and die like a human can. The difference is they are powerful and immortal in their agelessness. I used to be a heathen so I studied up on these things extensively. Just because it’s a foreign culture? Doesn’t change the fact it’s still pagan worship. Which is unfortunate since I really admire the dedication it takes to master the martial arts.

I say the same exact thing. Everyone is fascinated by this guy, yet he has not demonstrated an actual art. Doing a few moves here and there does not constitute a martial art. Each art is distinguished by the Tao Lu, which are the DNA of any art. He may be strong and powerful.. he can fight - ANYBODY can learn or train to fight. But to be part of and claim a Classical Martial Art is a complete different thing. I think he is a fake.
