Ms. Lansbury has won 5 Tony Awards (out of 7 nominations), six Golden Globes (out of 15 nominations), and has been nominated for numerous other industry awards, including 3 Academy Awards and 18 Emmy Awards. During her extraordinary career she had worked with one of the best and biggest names in the industry. In this interview she talks about some of them, including Ingrid Bergman, Ingrid Bergman, Louis B.Mayer, George Cukor, Cecil B. DeMille, Katharine Hepburn, Judy Garland, Kay Thompson, Danny Kaye, Elvis Presley, John Frankenheimer, Warren Beatty, Jane Fonda, Peter Sellers, Peter Ustinov, and Stephen Sondheim.
Ms. Lansbury could be seen next in summer movie Mr. Popper's Penguins, opposite Jim Carrey.

I love her talking about the evolution of Mame on Broadway and how she got cast. They didnt want her for the longest time.. she had to convince them and they kept calling her back again and again until she finally got the part.
