IMHO, Bobby Heenan's mind was so lightning fast, his comebacks so hilarious, he could have easily left wrestling and become one of the most successful comedians on the planet. Natural stage presence, and perfect comedic timing propelled Heenan into what possibly may be the greatest character pro wresting has ever seen. Even with all his health problems later in life, Heenan maintained his sense of humor & quick wit. We'll never see a bird flipped like Bobby "The Brain" Heenan again.

Actually, if the Brain were alive and at his peak, and (most importantly) put fully in charge of both Raw and Smackdown, he really would turn them both around for the better dramatically. As it is, wrestling today is dead, and Brain called that, too, and he called it several years before the travesty that is wrestling today: "They don't have kayfabe anymore."

Just googled those Warrior words on Heenan and I forgot how much of a POS Helwig was. I guess because UW was such a big part of my childhood I blocked all of that stuff out of my memory and subconsciously ga e him a pass. Yeah, fl that guy. I wouldn't suggest anyone look up what he said on Heenan at all though. RIP to The Brain ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

Bobby "the brain" Heenan... gosh how much I hated this man as a child. Now as an adult, I see how great he was at his craft. He did exactly what his character was intending to do to a child's mind. RIP Bobby, one half of the greatest commentary team in WWF history in my opinion.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that Heenan and The Gorilla were an awesome commentary pair. I think their greatest PPV that they called together was Royal Rumble 92. Heenan going completely OTT with Flair getting the number 3 spot and going on to win the WWF Championship was hilarious and awesome to watch and listen to.

On my high school wrestling team I used to tell everyone Bobby Heenan was my real father, haha, my coach hated me cause he hated pro wrestling. I was loving it. RIP "Dad" Bobby Heenan. EDIT: He was the funniest, most entertaining person in wrestling. Monsoon & Heenan were the best.

Bobby The Brian Heenan is Iconic.... You are right.... as a kid growing up I used to hate him but as an adult I actually see now that he was a brilliant heel manager and loud mouth.... watching some of the old wrestling matches and his commentating is comical. So sad about his deterioration in health. R.I.P

Bobby was pure Gold. There will never, ever be another like him. I have come to really enjoy watching matches were his stable was involved in them. Just wished that someone would have thought about having Rude and Perfect as a tag team. Think about how devastating they would have been.

There will never be a commentator duo in pro wrestling again as good as Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon. The two were pure gold together. I almost hate to say it because I always loved Jerry Lawler and JR too, but Heenan and Monsoon were the best!

Bobby the fuckin brain Heenan was and is the greatest. My mother hated wrestling but if the brain was broadcasting we would be able to watch it. Even my mother who hated wrestling would watch it because he was just that great. Plus he's a Chicago boy

*The heel we loved to hate that always had us swinging back to believing the violence was 100% real, the feuds were real and the victories were real. I can remember thinking they must use the hops in punches and so forth to minimize damage or they would kill one another!* Strangely, that last statement is actually somewhat true.

Mere words cannot begin to express how much I miss Bobby & Gorilla. My favorite part of his Hall of Fame speech was when he said, "I wish Monsoon was here". He wasn't the only one. They were truly best buddies 4-ever. I miss them both so much.

Even though I prefer Jerry “The King Lawler and Jim Ross as commentators,Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby “The Brian” Heenan were a great duo. It was sad to see them during their final moments (especially Heenan). Considering how they were at each other’s throats on commentary,it was almost hard to believe hey were best friends in real life. He was a great manger but a better commentator and really enjoyed his commentary in WCW.

After watching this you begin to realize why wrestling as an industry has fallen off so much. They just can’t reproduce this kind of talent... no one in the wwe currently comes remotely close

Your content life and career content is exceptional. My first exposure wrestling was Summerslam 1989 on VHS first match on the card was the Hart Foundation vs The Brain Busters w/ Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos it had brought back many memories and it always saddens me when I hear of the passing of legends especially from the 80s and 90s. Keep them coming they really do put a smile on many peoples faces

A truly amazing individual, he bought so much to the world of wrestling. As a manager he added an extra dimension to matches, he was so much more than a just a face at ring side. His commentary is legendary and I have to agree that along with Gorilla he formed the best commentary duo ever in WWF. Fondly remembered and sadly missed. Another great video, thank you.
