i may have not been a Test fan, but it is quite sad that he's become forgetable by the time of his passing. the WWE Hall of Fame is a joke anyway. especially when you put the likes of the Botch Twins in there over guys like Test. The Bellas haven't been round long either nor are they wrestling anymore n they are still kikn unlike Test. somethin definitely wrong wit that picture.

Test was so over during the Stephanie storyline but completely lost everything after the wedding. He didn’t even get a revenge storyline. He could have been a major face taking revenge on HHH at Armageddon
@M.Bisðn
@M.Bisðn 4 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the wedding storylines was one of the final Vince Russo storylines in WWF before he took over creative at WCW. So Vinnie Mac either foolishly had no plans for Test after Russo's departure, or he was one of many who fell victim to the shovel of the man with 3 H's.

Always loved Test. One thing that sticks in my mind was Jim Cornette saying in an interview that while he didn't know Test that well, there was a time when he took a pumphandle slam and Andrew really looked after him during the move. There's also footage on KZbin of Test, during his Heel angle, pumphandle slamming Stacy, you can see he takes all the weight on his forearms and knees while making sure to tuck her head in and protect her. Actions speak louder than words. Great Heel. Class act.

Test could have actually gone further than Diesel. Remember Kevin Nash really hadn't been in WWE for that long before he left so with time Test would have had a longer and more successful run. Test may not have been as naturally funny as Kevin Nash but he had the size, was younger, and better looking. Also he worked well when paired with others who may have had a bit more personality in storylines. He could have really been something if they'd kept him with Trish.

I agree. I think Test did have a match with HHH after the whole Stephanie turning heel situation, but it wasn't made a big deal and he lost. I think WWF at the time just didn't think Test could hang as a major babyface especially compared to the Rock. If Test had to match barbs with Rock as a babyface then it likely would've ended similar to Billy Gunn.

I agree regarding the immunity gimmick... they could have him doing all sorts of things... trashing the ring and backstage area, assaulting everyone in sight, from other wrestlers to the announcers to Vince himself, and just as Vince as about to give him the "YOU'RE FIRED", he could remind him that he won the Immunity Battle Royal and therefore couldn't fired until November 2002 at the earliest

It has been a while , a really long time since I decided to mention a very short conversation with Drew. I had known him 28 years and his early days 21 22 years old we were in sales together and worked side by side. I remember him telling me that he was going to be a professional wrestler. I knew it was a dream of his, then all of a sudden he was gone. The next thing I knew was he signed with ( at the time) WWF which ofcourse became WWE. I had not been able to reach him until he show up in my old neighborhood. I didnt realize he was looking for me until my mother called and said Andrew came by to see you. I met with him later at one of our favorite hang out spots. Drew had told me and kept me up to speed on what he felt was really going on. He did a personal feelings for steph, no dought. Truthfully, as the media would and WWE would say that that broke his heart. No, no so much. Not according to my long time friend. I remember Drew a few months before his passing he told me that he felt as if he had been used. Which in turn made him feel useless. I will not go into detail but I will say this.....Drew ( Test) seen what others could not. Almost as if he knew he was more than a foot in the ground. R.I.P. brother....I'm sure not only me but many still miss you terribly....
@JeffB-hf9rb
@JeffB-hf9rb 2 жыл бұрын
Actually I can see how he would have felt used. He totally was, even though it may not have been intentional. It's almost as if Trips took his spot. I mean I know this is all a story line, but still. Test had a bunch bigger role in the future of wresting since he was directly involved in the beginning of what ended up becoming a permanent storyline that got mixed with real life. So if he did have feelings for Steph than one could think that he should be now where Trips is. But I don't know the dynamics of Trips and Stephs initial relationship since things can get blurred between the storyline relationship, and the real one. Now I'm a totally straight male, but have some sense of the female psych. Steph might be a bit different since she is used to being around muscular guys, but most women I've met would, based on physical appearance, would be much more attracted to Drew.

I knew Andrew before he went into professional wrestling. We worked together... partied together... I fought alongside him in bar brawls and street brawls. There were times when via unspoken words, we watched each other's backs. Amongst us were some other great friends. We all knew Andrew as a guy with his heart in the right place. He was one of those people who really cared about the friends he made. He was close to his family; and he loved animals... especially his dog. I remember the day when Andrew and our friend George came over to my place, immediately after he met Bret Hart in Toronto. The three of us were 6'6"; and solidly built. The two of them were already set to go to Calgary to train under Bret. They asked me to come out with them, since they knew that I was a fan of professional wrestling. Being a few years older, I turned down the offer, as I had other plans. To this day, I always wonder whether Andrew would still be with us if I'd gone with him... and had I been good enough to make it to the WWE with him. He was the sort of person who cherished friendships and good times. Having a friend who he could relate to may have gone a long way. The last time that I saw him in Toronto, he looked sad despite being a well-known Professional Wrestler on TV. I knew in my heart that it was because deep down, Andrew was the kid from a small town in Ontario; and he missed the simple life... a life that was free of all the complications. I miss him. Awww, this turned out to be a sad video in the end. I was a teenage girl when the whole Test/Steph storyline happened and I lapped it up, lol. Sadly he lost so much momentum when HHH swooped in at the end and basically robbed him of all of his heat. And he was doomed to the midcard after that.

Thanks for the upload. Test was an underrated talent. R.I.P. I remember him fondly by his relationship with Stacy Keibler. I thought he was a good wrestler. It's real shitty he got released from his contract from the WWE because of his neck injury. Unless your Austin, or the Rock you'll lose your spot. I really hope some of the guys acknowledged his death. I know I did, and I wasn't even in the business. I was shocked. To be a professional wrestler in the WWE now a days is an acquired taste. You'll either end up feeling fine when you retire from the business and find success outside of the ring if you're superstar , or you will become a drug addict, and die real young if you don't take good care of yourself as man. To be dependent on pills everyday to help you function and do your job well as a wrestler 300 days out of the year is brutal. Mad respect to those guys. What wrestlers go through is much worse than the NBA, the NFL and the MLB, in terms of traveling, driving, training, injuries, and working non-stop.

Awesome was literally awesome. And Sean O'Haire, I don't understand what they did with him. Any company would have loved to have a guy his size who moved like he did. His Swanton Bomb made Jeff Hardy's look like backyard wrestling. The first time I saw him land one, he rolled through into a crouched position on one knee, arms extended to each side, his head tilted up slightly to look into the hard cam. I could not believe what I had just seen was done by a guy who was 6'7" and weighed about 260. Sorry for the long reply, just O'Haire oozed skill and potential and they couldn't have cared less.
