I think Subaru has not been able to control return by death, I think Return By Death hasn’t been used to its full potential. In theory anyways, but I also believe Subaru is Envy n Pride. Since in the Light Novel Subaru uses Unseen hand. It made me believe that he is also envy n his authority of envy allows him to steal powers from other people he kills. It would only make sense if he can steal powers, maybe not from everyone, but I’m sure he can steal all the archbishops authorities.

Felix has a very ambiguous gender. If you read the ex spin-off volume that goes into their backstory, it's revealed they prefer to be Ferris and hear feminine pronouns to their name. The world of re zero doesn't seem progressive enough to allow Ferris to transition and they have to constantly change clothing from knight attire to their preferred dress. Nobody except crush really acknowledges Ferris as Ferris. They could be trans girl or they could be a mix of both girl and a boy, or just not really care or feel they could do about people calling them a boy. It's really interesting and a huge mystery. I personally believe Ferris is a trans girl just because of how important it is for her to see herself in the mirror as a pretty girl in the novel. Idk I thought I'd share since I really love the character.

This was such an amazing start for the new season. It highlighted everything I adore about Re Zero. First of all, the villains. Goddamn Re Zero has some of the most awesome villains in Japanese media story. Their powers and the way they're introduced let you know right away just how much despair they're able to cause. But all that makes you look forward even more how they're going to fight them. And you got to give Tappei-sensei-sama a lot of praise for managing to create legit threatening and scary bad guys in a series about time resets, otherwise there would be no tension. Then, my other favorite part was seeing the characters facing what can't be fixed. Obviously, the biggest impact is what happened to Rem and Subaru agonizing over it. But I also loved to see Felis and Wilhelm facing that their leader isn't the same person anymore, as well as their opposing views on how to deal with it. That's another thing that amazing about Re Zero; it's not just about Subaru and how things impact him, everyone has their situations like actual people and can suffer when things go wrong. Finally, both Subaru and Emilia had great moments as they should since they're the protagonists and their actual story is just starting now. From my perspective, Arc 1-3 were about Subaru breaking all clichés and expectations of OP isekai MC so he could taste how pathetic it is to be a weak human in a dark fantasy world and then stand up when he accepts his true power as a human is the ability to never give up and learn how to get allies on his side. After all, that's the core of Re Zero; show the good and bad of being human. Arc 4 is where the real plot of Re Zero starts moving and I'm here for it.

Wow. I can't imagine how much back story and depth Re zero actually has. Once I was reading from Wikipedia some informations about the past of Emilia and some other characters like her Aunt, her village she used to be "imprisoned" and Beatleguse. Re Zero's world is huge and the writer must be an amazing person. Every character feels real and has so much story behind him. It's a huge universe full of fantastic creatures, sadness, some happy parts and everything is presented in a realistic way. This anime could have 10 seasons with the amount of story that the writer creates

The only 3 things I disliked about this episode are : a lot of Regulus' lines and his dialogue with Ley were cut, so their introduction didn't feel the same as in WN/LN. When I was reading the WN I instantly hated Regulus for his character, that guy literally looked to me as an epitome of hypocrisy. The 2nd thing is that dialogue between Puck and Subaru was also cut. This is a huge deal, since it supposed to show the change in their relationship and the animosity Subaru now has towards Puck. But in the anime you don't get that feeling. The 3rd thing is the dialogue between Emilia's and Crusch's camp. A lot of valuable information(Witch and witch cult related) and bickering between the characters was cut. And the last one is quite important since it related to Rem and how Subaru felt about the situation, also it showed how dirty Felix's mouth is.

Yeah Episode 1 was a bit inconsistent though most of S1 wasn’t even shown on the Light Novel so they probably weren’t planning on Animating that fight scene in the first place

@@yxon1ph I'm not so sure what this means exactly 🤔......I like taking strolls on the Autism side of the street from time to time so you may have to elaborate for me my guy. That aside I am a very passionate person and I definitely don't require a phone or notepad to express my thoughts or feelings to people on a daily basis nor have I ever been afraid of doing so. Truthfully I don't see anything wrong with Subaru giving this type of response to Emilia for one it isn't rude and two Emilia while she's a nice character hasn't really earned her place at Subarus side like rem has in my opinion and as a result more time /relationship growth is needed.

As much as i love Rem AND I MEAN LOVE From a narrative point of view makes sense because this suddenly removes Subaru's pillar. If Rem was awake Subaru would hardly ever struggle. If he's in trouble he would always have somebody that believed in him no matter how crazy or suspicious he is but now that she's gone, it'll provide more struggle

Getting to see Rem again brought me to tears and seeing the way she kept talking about Subaru like he was a damn ancient Greek hero of legend /prophecy was just amazing and hijacked my heart. However when she went down in battle I was utterly devastated more so than I was watching her play twister in season 1 because Subaru couldn't fix it no matter how may times he tried to rewind. Rem may be sleeping beauty right now but she without a doubt is a true ride or die chick and honestly someone I think even a kingpin like Tony Montana would be proud to have in their squad XD!

Correct me if I'm wrong but Archbishops and Witches are two different groups, like there are sins within the Archbishops and witches are also assigned sins they rule over

Different position in the hierarchy. 1. Witch of Sin: Person of admiration 2. Archibishop of Sin: Strongest follower. They get "blessings" from witches. (Invisible hands from Betelgeuse) 3. Apostle of Sin: Everyone else. Their strenght varies, but they aren't as close to witches as Bishopes. It all was explained in 1S, I believe, so I don't think I spoiled anything.
