If you want to charge a NIMH battery you need to set the charger to NIMH. No wonder it didn't charge when the charger is set to LiPO. I have had this charger for a long time but never had a power supply until today when I got a new phone with a 65w charger. I'm charging a 4s 7000mAh LIPO @6A now to try. The charger is quite warm but no smoke yet. Edit: Took.1.5h to charge from storage 3.8v to full so not something I'll be using much. Maybe for emergency use in the car.

Best charger for me. Gonna use it for my 2s lipo's 520mah and 300mah. Charging the 520mah with 2A. Charging the 300mah with 1A. With my Nintendo Switch 20100mah powerbank and wall adapter. To get 24W!

Different voltage, it's wattage you can't output more than input, like 12v 2 amps, is the same power/wattage as 24v 1 amp, I don't see the input of this working well, most USB are 1amp, 5v, so it would require 12-18v to be a decent charger,

exactly what i was thinking yo can nevver evver output 6 amp with 60 watts and out of an usb c plug i have a 24v volts powersuply 150 watts on my isdt q6 pro charging a lipo 2200 mah at 2 amps gets the powersuply hot and the isdt too so i wonder what 60 wats on 6 amps will give you ,,

Based on the spec, the maximum input current is 3A...so to get the 60W, it would be necessary to have a 20V source...? I think it would be just interesting which s- and current charging combinations requires what kind of source...

Awesome product for newbies on a tight budget but it not having a fan is kinda sketchy. Also if you have an Android or jailbroken iPhone you can use Ampere or BatteryLife to loosely measure the max current of various AC adapters / USB C power supplies

i got the isdt pd60, depsite it doesn't have a fan, don't gets too hot, that internal heatsink works really well, but very important do not cover downside air inlets to get an apropiate air cooling

If this charger is 60watts then you need to do the math to figure out charge rate per cell. 60w divided by 14.4 (4s) = 4.1 amps. On a four cell the max it will ever charge is 4.1 amp and that’s only if you have a 20v power supply. Only time this charge is putting out complete 6 amp is with 1-2cell lipo. Still a great travel charger or cheap charger for beginners but don’t expect to charger more then 2 at a time 1500mah 4s batteries in parallel at 1c charge rate with this.

I'm just now having issues with mine. I hook up a 4S but it shows 40&100 ⚠ lit like the balance lead is hooked up wrong... With every battery. I changed the power supply.. No change. Not related to my issue but I noticed that if you hold both buttons and power it up it goes into some kind of scan mode I assume for programming it.

@@sturg6199 yes I did and I can post a link to it if it's okay to do so here. I put it in my "Quadcopter Madness" playlist here. It's the output protection fuse. I simply bypassed it by bridging solder across it. There is two fuses. 1 for the input side *green* and one for the output side *green* and it's under the aluminum heat sink.

@@sturg6199 I apologize I answered to my last problem I had and the symptoms are similar. If it's brand new and you haven't accidentally shorted out the output by hooking up your main output wires backwards in the dark like I did then you shouldn't have a problem with the output fuse. My original problem with it not working out of the box was simply as stated here in the video. It was the power supply not being able to supply the right amount of amperage. I was able to find a few phone chargers that work but they get a little warm. I noticed the two new ones have a different power up tone. One works directly from the USB port plugged into the cigarette lighter slot. I noticed that the input needed variable is different from charger to charger.

How does such a small and light weight charger do upto 6 ams charging? Will it charge a Li ion battery pack perfectly with bms just out of the xt60 port?

engizmo just charge the battery cells to 3.85 volts or 3.9 and they will fall to about 3.85 volts

Charges 1s and 2s? Up to 4s.. Or ONLY 4s.. I just need for my tinywhoops; that's better than the oem charger included in the emax carrying cases... 1s And 2s 🔋 especially 1s don't have a balance lead... So this is useless? No?

You can make an adapter to charge for example 4 (of the same) 1s packs as 4s. Idk about the charger sry

I have TWO PD60s. The first can charge the 1s through the XT60 only. The second one needs both XT60 and the service connector connected, even for 1s. Different versions of firmware probably...

USB C as the only input make it difficult to use in the field. And for home? Does it have to be that small? Conclusion: Without a DC input, I can't make sense of it. BTW: What is the visibility of the LED indication in sunlight? And: *Thanks for the review!*

The USB-C can be used as a DC input. It accepts 5-20V directly to the USB-C port. All you need is an USB-C/XT60 adapter.
