Great and powerful message. I appreciate that. Giving instead of always receiving is something we all need to learn how to do.

Beautiful message, delivered so well. Unfortunate, some of the idiotic comments below, and others that simply miss the mark.

I really enjoyed and felt inspired by the concept of fish love! It is so true, that after the initial romance you must ascertain if this is real love or fish love! This is not so easy a task, but it must be done! True love is not Fish love! Seek the answers, don't waste your precious time on Fish Love!

Nice sentiment on love of giving being self reflective. There is another type of giving without egocentrism. Random acts of kindness when you don't know the recipient and the recipient doesn't know you. No reciprocity expected. Love of giving for the sake of giving. Ars gratia artis

Transcription : "'Jeune homme.

To love yourself is important ... and it is not as easy as he is implying because so many of us are afraid of vanity. (Also, what he says about the woman who marries the man (0:44) is rushed and unclear.)
@andreasrydland50287 жыл бұрын
But at the end of the day, does that not mean that the only part of you that I love, is the part that I put there, which is not really you at all, but rather my investment ?

.so it means and that only I exist.
@dopaminecloud5 жыл бұрын
@@nitzaberrios9021 That's a logic leap. Think clearly. Andreas, you are correct, but the ideas of "you" and "me" are so nonsensical that the projections we place there are just as good. In the end, wanting good for another being and succeeding in giving that, is an objective good. No matter how selfish, irrational and mindless the motivations really are. I don't like dressing it up as something special, or worthy of respect, which it's not, but it's undeniably a good thing.

I don't get it. It's not true love if you give someone something and invest in them. .. if you only love that part, then you should not love the other person at all.

This is motherly love. And since everyone sometimes is annoyed by how much she cares sometimes. I guess real love is not the one everyone is looking for. Sometimes is good to feel pain and Be forgetton. So we wont be so self involved and selfish. To realize that its okay to live with your reality. To be wild and to take risks. To be late at work. Because no one woke you up. So you can laugh about how silly you were. To miss your friend's wedding to know that you cant give them always what they want. Let go. Be free of love. The right one will love you for it.

Not everyone loves themselves...
@david-kungonzalezramos9816 жыл бұрын
And because of that they expect the love of others, they want to recieve love without giving true love. They use people to recieve love more than loving other people. The love comes from one self.

He makes good points. However, his fish love analogy is not accurate. The greatest conservationists are people that hunt and fish. They give more time and money to build HABITAT, than anyone else. We are all.part of the food chain, and its absurd to think that we need to feel remorse to survive. Not one member of the animal kingdom feels remorse, and they are all far more brutal than humans in the way that they kill. Many animals actually intentionally torture their prey.
@adibsiddiki74097 жыл бұрын
It's just an analogy to explain what love is like between humans. He's not trying to make us feel guilty for eating fish but help us understand the difference between true love and "fish love".

I think its just an analogy to help us be aware of what we feel. I love fish is what we say but the true, complete statement is I love eating fish. - once its complete, its clear what it is.
