Hey Tribe! Hope you enjoy this one as it ws great fun to edit together. What do you guys think about our new intro!? We thought it would be fun to use footage from Brasil that will roll out along the way as we share all our Brasilian episodes. Much love from the whole crew :)

Noticed the new intro it's sweet, end credits looked new and improved. I suppose with each crew change a new intro is needed. I especially like the out takes at the end. Wow that Island looks like a very cool place to visit. Another excellent episode.
@Biomirth6 жыл бұрын
The new intro is really nice (and really timely change...not that the old one was stale but change is good) but I was really unprepared for the credits! I know it's a small thing but it was suddenly Hollywood and was also really excellent. I was like "Look at that white B*tch!". P.S. Having studied under an arachnid expert and studied human evolutionary psychology, I still can't answer definitively why spiders are particularly frightening to people other than all the theories you can probably guess. However I will say that no amount of weed makes that a bad question! People *are* wired to be afraid of certain shapes and colors and movements; Despite how much of our behavior we can end up being rational about we are all still primates.

The tubular waterfall at the beginning might have been the most magical of all. Seeing the capybaras was special, but made magical seeing them through Kazzas eyes. Like seeing a park or a forest for the first time through a childs eyes. She truly sees the magic Mother Earth offers her.And then there is Lisa, one who has no idea of her own beauty, yet one who sees every bit of beauty around her. Thank all of you for sharing natures bounty, the animals, the insects, and the humans who have realized how magical they all are!

Perfect. I honestly believe that you could have your own 30 min T.V. show once a week, that would be very popular an interesting. Like I said before, I have seen every single episode once and some multiply times. I can see the work and hard effort you take to make these video's. I really wish I could join, my girl talk's about it all the time, but I think I would get sea sick. I just wanna say keep up the good work, and let the video's keep coming. Be safe and have fun fellow friends.....

I have enjoyed every one of your videos. I wanted to comment before and was finally goosed into actually doing it by Kaza's comment about you being watchful and saving the boat. I am totally blown away about you leaving Delos sometimes for days, without a crew member watching her, and always having her still be there when you return. When I cruised to Mexico in the early 70's, you could not leave your dinghy out at night. Somebody was always ready to swim up and cut the line at night. Some boats had their Anchor shackle unscrewed and drifted ashore thereby giving everyone the opportunity to extort you. The fact that you have stayed safe is due to a competent crew and a Captain the is one of the most skillful mariners that i have had the pleasure to see. All the best and stay safe!

New intros are always bittersweet. We get comfortable with them, then have to deal with the change. And I really liked the creativity shown in the previous intro. Adding to the feelings is the knowledge that the new intro is in part due to someone leaving the crew, which is a mixed bag of feelings in itself. That said, life goes on and change can be (should be) good. So "hells yes" to the new intro. This whole episode had a different vibe that I really liked, though I can't put my finger on exactly what. I do like the stills being interweaved with the video, more of that please. All in all, another excellent job. Thanks for sharing and fair winds.

Hello Delos! I’ve really enjoyed these last videos in Brazil. It’s so cool to see you exploring my “back yard” (I lived on Ilhabela for some years and now keep my boat in Ubatuba). Ilha Anchieta is where I usually spend weekends on the boat, when there isn’t enough time to sail further. I must say, the island seems much more glamorous through the Delos lens. I suppose I’ve come to take this beautiful coast for granted after sailing it for so long. The spider you found at night looks like an “armadeira” (hard to be certain without proper light to identify it). They probably account for most of the spider accidents in Brazil (very rarely fatal though). I had meant to head down to the coast when I heard you were in the area so I could show you around and give you some ideas for places to visit. However, my boat was on the hard for a refit and I had too much work going on. I’m sorry I missed the chance. Anyway, I raise a large glass of “scoth” to the health of the Delos crew! I’m looking forward to the next episodes.

Beautiful as always and learning so much too. I/we love to learn something new :-) o---) I MUST have bacon, NOW! Thick bacon! At 35:22 you could have lost your boat. Don't you set your anchor drag and location monitor alarms on your GPS, Plotter and/or Radar? Hook the alarms to a loud speaker and bright 100 watt light/s or flood lights topside (incase pirates invade your space or you drag anchor)... just food for thought to wake you up when drunk etc.
@billdomb6 жыл бұрын
Also some drag alarms for cell phones. Like Drag Queen. But don't know if they'd work in Brazil. Probably would be fine.
@captainmarkgray88566 жыл бұрын
Anchor drag alarms work anywhere. If the GPS goes out then the radar one will still work. You set your area / zone and if anything comes into your zone (like land or even another boat like pirates at night) then the alarm goes off. Of course you have to have the right radar, mounted properly and know how to set it all up properly (especially the sensitivity. I had mine where I could see birds or a seal head poking up. The radar company begged me to send it back,,, no way would I do that :-). Hummm OR OR OR one could always read the manuals LOL :-) Although in today's high tech world there is most likely a watch that is your phone, security camera viewing screen and alarm speaker all in one. On our boat even 20 yrs ago I had a camera in the spreaders hooked to my AV transmitter that broadcast to my small pocket TV (radioshack). I could go to eat etc and watch (and hear) my boat). If I left the marine radio on and took my handheld I could talk to anyone who showed up (I had the remote mike/speaker with channel changer and volume etc,,, in the cockpit). We also had an underwater camera (big deal back then). When on the boat I had 2 TVs (one to watch a movie etc and the other to watch outside the boat and / or underwater. Today it all is easier, higher quality and a lot cheaper too (for many things). When I ran my TV series my personal phone bill was $3,000 a month. Today I can pay VOIP $30 a month and have unlimited calls around the world. Even if I toss in $100 a month for high speed Internet I would be saving $2,870 a month on my phone alone. AND with the Internet I could have a world wide TV series for FREE vs on TLC for 3 yrs where the production cost can run in the millions for national network TV.... Ahhhh the kids today have it so easy, limited only by their creativity since cost is almost zero compared to the old day TV series... Got to love it!
@billdomb6 жыл бұрын
How are you getting connectivity for the VOIP?? SSB? Who consults on such things. Have seen very poor performance in this arena from marine electronics purveyors. They just want to sell $5K a month satellite contracts.
