Hello Euge, I've discovered your channel yesterday (I don't even know your band), I find your videos very good and very interesting. You have my kind of taste in terms of sound, I'm an analog lover and I'm also an ESP Eclipse guy, got them all (..not all, but I got 3 Eclipses and I always want more of them)). I'm really diging into your videos, you give me a lot of ideas in terms of minimalistic analog rigs.

would be nice to see the links to those little amp simulator pedals you showed at 6:50, too bad you have not demo'd the poor man's back up rig (SD1 to Friedman to Mooers 012 US Gold 100 and then the IR Loader RADAR by Mooer) I think thats the signal chain you use unless the iconoclast is in there

Hey euge, great video man, about the iconoclast i use a differend brand amp/cab simulator, that provide me like yours 2 outputs, in 2:58 that you say from stereo L+R of iconoclast you go into a DI box... which DI box you use ?
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын

@@EugeValovirta230V your using passive DI because you have the emg’s which are active pickups..? Because mine is passive pickups..
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын
It has nothing to do with that since the signal goes from the Iconoclast to DI and from there to the mixing desk.
@Theofanis10003 жыл бұрын
@@EugeValovirta230V wow that’s true… so my mistake, for the live situation euge you prefer passive DI ?
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын
😁👌. It doesn’t matter to me. Basically I just needed a cable extension for really big stages and the shop I went in happened to have that so that’s what I bought 😎. And it’s actually a bit more handy in live situations since it doesn’t need a 48V phantom power to operate like an active DI box does 👌.

I really like the Duncan Custom and would recommend. For some reason I find that Fishmans are missing a ”character” or something. But on the other hand I don’t have that much of experience with them.

Euge, because you play ESP guitars and I think you're probably my favorite player on youtube doing videos, I have to ask whether any other brand of guitar has felt almost as good as ESP because of the "thin U" neck shape? I am still buying ESP in the future, but other brands have guitars that look better than ESP --much better, in fact, especially in the super strat category as opposed to the Les Paul/Eclipse shape. None of them have the ESP neck though, so I stay with ESP for the feel or ergonomics. The 2 new H-series guitars for 2020 are the next guitars I am considering (H-1001 and H-1001FR). Cheers Euge.
@EugeValovirta230V5 жыл бұрын
Hey and thanks for your compliments! I have a lot of Tokai guitars (Les Paul, Strat & Tele shape) too and I think they're awesome. ESPs & Tokais are basically the only guitars I've ever used so I can't say much about other brands. My ESP's are made at the Japan Custom Shop and they actually have a thick U neck and thicker bodies than the factory made ones so they're more "old school" in that sense. I haven't tried the new H-series but I'm sure they're great too! Cheers!

@EugeValovirta230V4 жыл бұрын
I have always my sound and it’s always the same no matter the situation (one off, fly gig, small venue, large venue, costs etc.). And our sound guy loves it since it’s always the same and no sound directly from the stage to the audience but only PA so he can mix the best sound for the audience. And I don’t have to rely on rental equipment ever since I can take my whole rig anywhere 👌😎.

Every tuning has an ideal ideal string gauge which is relative to the scale length of the guitar. You won’t have loose strings if you have the correct gauge strings.
