Lky is one of the most respected person in Singapore. During his death, thousands queue up for 7 to 12hrs just to pay their respects to him. Not just Singaporeans, Malaysians, Indonesians too. No one commands such respect. No one force these people to queue under the blazing hot weather in Singapore. In fact people was warn that the queue was at least 7hrs long. Yet they go every single day. You can hate him, you can disagree with him, but its hard not to respect what he has done.

I personally don't agree with everything LKY did. LKY was not a perfect leader. Like every human being LKY was an imperfect leader. However, in the end, even the people who hated LKY paid their respects to him when he died. He earned everyone's respect, because it was obvious that LKY loved Singapore, and everyone respected what he did to turn Singapore into a world class city!
