Keegan needs his own video, kind of under rated his career, very interesting guy
@ulfurkarlsson58854 жыл бұрын
When Keegan started as manager the club was a bottom team in Championship and in two years time they where a top team in the Premier League. And he built up a team that is the most legendary Newcastle team ever, Les Ferdinand, David Ginola,Robert Lee the famous 95/96 side that almoust won the league and where famous for playing "sexy Football" as it was called, because it was attacking and fun to watch
@hayz13134 жыл бұрын
@@ulfurkarlsson5885 actually our team was dubbed 'the entertainers' during the Keegan era. It was Ruud Gullit's appointment that promised 'sexy football' but it never happened, he fell out with Shearer and his appointment turned out to be a disaster.

Great video - one correction though at the start of the 92/93 season we actually won 11 in a row, not 10. We won 10 then played the mackems, who equalised in the 70th minute to make it 1-1. The mackems chanted 'where's your record gone' but then Liam O'Brian decided to curl a free kick over the wall and we won 2-1.
