Elia was probably instructed to to get rid of Pershing. He flipped and knows too much about what the imperial remnants are up to. He may even know exactly who they are trying to perfect the cloning process for… Also, the song at the park/carnival is the March of the Resistance from the sequels. This makes me believe that the song in universe is the anthem of the New Republic.

The scientist is clearly not a people person. It doesn't even occur to him to ask why she's going way out on a limb for someone she just met or what's in it for her. Ironically, him and his new pal mirror Din and Bo. As a bounty hunter, Din is much better at reading people's (lethal) intent but at times he can be rather naive. Notice is lack of reaction or even noticing how seething angry Bo was when he first showed up at her castle. Bo like scientist's pal, is very astute at reading people and knowing what to say to motivate them, like when she met Din in Season 2. At first he dismissed her but she won him over to her side.

This episode made me think of a question. With the abundance of droids and also the trillions of organics in need of employment I wonder if companies in the Star Wars universes have a required organic to droid ratio they have to uphold? Like you can't be fully automated, we got a billion people that need jobs on this planet.
@youngrootv Жыл бұрын
I mean we only ever really see the top percentage of society when we follow characters and from watching Clone Wars we see how horrible people are living in Coruscant so we can probably assume that fully automation is pretty probable or close to it in major cities at least. I think people mostly live in poverty and most people do odd jobs here and there like how Kenobi worked cutting meat or Rey sold old parts just for food. I think it just depends on where you are but most people on Coruscant definitely live in poverty.

The question to be asking is: after all this time, why go after Bo-Katan now? Why was her castle not bombed at some point in the past and her ship mobbed by TIE fighters? The answer potentially is the same as Pershing's fate. Someone is targeting those who specifically hindered Moff Gideon and his forces over the course of the show. Though it could be Thrawn, the timing with the rumor of Moff Gideon's escape is suspicious.

Eliah it's obviously still Loyal to Gideon and to the Empire, she just wanted Doctor Pershing to grab the things necessary for the Cloning Experiments so that it can be continued in the future (and most likely eventually culminating in Snoke and Palpatine from the Sequels unfortunetely), althought i don't know what her plan is after this point because the Lab things the doctor grabbed had to be confiscated right? Also noticed how in the Scene where they go to the highest mountain in Coruscant Pershing had a Blue Popsicle and Eliah a Red one? that's good forshadowing right there. This Dr.Pershing sub-plot has been my favorite part of this season so far, i loved every minute of it. Also... Bo-Katan is ABSOLUTELY playing the long game here with her just accepting being part of Din's Group, she knows that there's a live Mythosaur in Mandalore... so if she can Tame it and Mount it... that would be the Ultimate Prove (even bigger prove than winning the Dark Saber) that she should be the Leader of All Mandalorians.

Gideon’s former communications officer is still an Imperial. She made sure the New Republic did not learn anything about cloning from Dr Pershing. I liked her first name, too, “A Liar”. Bo-Katan seems lost and confused. A whole lot to digest has happened to her in the last 24 hours. As required by her own beliefs in the Dark Saber, Bo-Katan answered the call to action of the Mand’alor when Grogu showed up. Bo-Katan’s beliefs were both shattered and reinforced when she saw the legendary Mythosaur. She was invited to join the Children of the Watch’s covert and quickly accepted. What about the Mythosaur? I don’t think it matters if Bo-Katan is keeping it a secret. It is only a matter time before the covert attempts to visit the Living Waters themselves. It won’t take long, either.

He has already had an inner conflict so from now he'll be like "F** it, there's no difference between NR and the Empire" and he'll try to do his research for whatever cost. Maybe he'll join Moff Gidieon again or something.... Maybe to Thrawn?? That would be crazy! 😳 I feel sorry for him, he's such a tragic character... It seems like he indeed is a good-hearted scientist, kinda naive, so wrong ppl always want to use his research for evil purposes. Damn, I've never expected that kind of dilemma in this show. Reviews like the robot does are things that happen weekly if you're dealing with mental health issues, sometimes monthly if you're on the better end, and although it's not communicated super clearly I think the amount of time he spends ruminating on the decision is a while. Plus, that kind of nostalgia is super hard to deal with. Like yeah, the bads were bad, but the goods were good and although the bads aren't so bad now, the goods also aren't as good as they were. It's rough to try and reestablish your life when it was already so defined.
