I feel like it's really hard to get a read on Bo's motives here, and I find her really interesting because of that. Is she happy to join the Children of the Watch? Does she just want a clan to belong to again? Does she want to manipulate and use them to regain the title of Mandalore? Does she just want to be alone and sit on a chair in a castle on some middle of nowhere planet? Why did she hide the Mythosaur from Din? Does that help her in any way? Is she really friends with him or is she plotting to challenge him for the Darksaber? Questions!

I don't think she's happy nor angry but overwhelmed and surprised on how fast the Children welcomed her versus her previous people left her to be mercenaries. All of this racing through her mind, actually... She's having a change of heart (a core Lucasy concept) and is dumbfounded. Mike put it so gracefully with "none of the other paths worked.... she reliazes that indeed, THIS, is THE way" In fact they all might end up reaching a middle ground. She was right about the planet's condition, the Children were right about the planet's sacrality.

Throwing a hypothesis out there: Gideon had trouble bringing heavy forces to bear, so he wasn't behind the tie fighter and bomber attack, nor was his former officer carrying out his orders. Gideon really is on lockdown. Pershing was flayed because he knew too much, and we may find out Gideon was as well for the same reason. The real mastermind who will be revealed is going to be Thrawn.

Since the beginning of the series I’ve been questioning the significance of the horns on the Armorer’s helmet. Bo-Katan remembers Maul, and his Mandalorian followers - who killed her sister! That information - or even just the question- could shake up the Covert. If that’s what she wants to do.

I have a feeling that they're definitely setting up Paz Vizsla as a minor antagonist. He already doesn't like the fact that Din has the darksaber (especially since a Vizsla created it) and was an apostate, and he definitely doesn't like Bo Katan since she's from the part of Mandalorian society that hasn't followed the way for a very long time. I'm not sure where they'll take it from there, but they might have Paz defeat Din (but not kill him obviously), and have Bo defeat Paz to become the rightful wielder of the darksaber. The fact that she was the one who actually saw the Mythosaur makes me think this a little more. Not sure tho, kinda hope I'm wrong about the second part since I really wanna see Din become ruler of Mandalore :p

As jarring as the 'obvious CGI' is on Coruscant, I think it's intentional. Stylistically, the dated effects of the prequels became synonymous with people's adoration for those films. So I LIKE that when we went back to that planet, all of a sudden the background effects went back in time from the modern Volume to the 90's Bluescreens, as if the aesthetic is a part of Coruscant's atmosphere.

I actually did believe at the end that Elia had Pen’s back but then she upped the voltage on that mind flayer and then just stared at him with those scary ass eyes. My theory is that she is trying to break Pen’s faith in the New Republic by making it seem like they are torturing him while she takes advantage of his naïveté. Katy O’Brian definitely stole the show this episode, hope she gets more roles out of this. As for Din and Bo, now that Bo is essentially homeless and Din has redeemed himself in the eyes of his sect of Mandalorians I’m very interested in seeing where he goes from here. And Bo has now been “redeemed” since she has also bathed in the living waters (which I’m very curious about those waters because that glow was very alarming) and since she is now back with a new clan what’s her next move?

Both Penn and Bo-Katan are converts or putting a good-faith effort at least; but I’m convinced Pershing’s arc though not necessarily his demise forshadows Bo-Katan’s relationship w/ the Creed/the Way, as she’ll chase her reascendence to the throne of Mandalore and reunification of her people under her rule

Wow, I was NOT expecting a betrayal at all! I don't remember her much, but she seemed nice and they actually seemed like they had a crush on each other! People were acting like it was obvious but I don't remember her but she seemed really nice and it came out of nowhere!

I thought the double usage for the title “The Convert” was clever. I didn’t mind the Pershing story, but it felt like a bit too much time spent on it. Though it may pay off in future episodes.

Surface level writing, basic character development & the dialogue was about as straightforward and simple as it can be. This is an episode TRYING to be like Andor & FAILING big time. (Which makes it NOTHING like Andor)

I've seen a lot of people saying this reminds them of Andor (I haven't seen it myself) and considering that this version of the Republic just felt like the Empire with a fresh coat of paint, I can see why. Genuinely gave me the creeps!

Definitely it won't sit well with one of the members of the Creed especially with Mando bringing evidence of the living Water from Mandalore and granting Bo-Katan Kryze to join them once she bathed in the living water of Mandalore.

Was pumped with the opening scene and then they lost my attention with the abrupt doctor story. The story wasn’t interesting, poor acting even for this show, and definitely no investment interest with the characters aside from Bo, Din, and Grogu. The ending with the doctor left me cold. Was a meh episode and lost that pump by the time we continue with Din and company. A big let down of an episode. Hoping the next episode is an improvement.

I think it was to show how the New Republic is all twisted even at this beginning of it. Likely Thrawn will be able to play the republic to go after his enemies for him. The Mandalorians, Ashoka and Sabine, Cara Dune had she still had her show

I'm totally loving this season being The Book of Bo-Katan, bookending the show with her losing the last bits of her old life and her coming to the sanctuary and being accepted, with her seeing the Mythosaur I think we're gonna get so much out of her this arc that I'm just overjoyed.

She's 100% an agent of Thrawn and has been. That's why the camera and blocking was paying such attention to her in season 2, to make her stand out from the other imperials Gideon was interacting with. She was placed in proximity to Gideon by Thrawn to keep an eye on him and his project.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure what to think of this episode. I thought it dragged a little bit too long for my liking, but it also gave a lot of New Republic exposition, which I've been hungering for. I feel like this episode would've been in the Rangers of the New Republic show that would've starred Cara Dune, but they lumped it in to Mandalorian since they've scrapped that show.

The music playing during the scene where Pershing tells Kane he's ready to get the science kit is very similar to Sidious's theme, and is just a tuned down version of the music from the Anakin-Palpatine bubble theater scene. Symbolizes the actors of evil operating in the shadows to corrupt those around them

Crosshair ones say: "Republic / Imperium what the diference." You know what he means Andor Show show us that. No ones are good or bad. More of most people are Grey just like in real life. We have seen like also how "good" Rebel Aliances are. You know than Ghoust Squad are better even Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Legends and i am still with that in Seaqual they redimed Luke charakter from all Egoistic,... Jedi like Mace who digged their own Graves.

I saw an interview with Katee, and Michael could be right that she was just questioning herself if she really did see something down there. So maybe there was nothing really sinister about her not telling Din about the mythosaur. Also, Bo-Katan = "convert" and Elia = "convert". Elia surely will spell trouble for the New Republic. Will Bo-Katan do so, too, for the Covert? Or will her presence there be for good? For her good, or for the Mandalorians' good? Who will influence who?

I think Thrawn is behind it all. There was a lot of Ties attacking Bo Katan...who else would have that many. And the Coruscant stuff, I think the girl set up Doc for 2 reasons, to make the New Republic think shes legit, and to find out exactly what is needed to start the lab, which she did before frying his brain, so they know what to start with, so they can work on creating Snoke/New Palpatine. Also setting up Ahsoka coming out later on, thats why they did the Pergills (force whales) as well

They changed Paz Vizla’s voice, it’s not Jon Favrou anymore. My theory it that this covert with modify their creed and take off their helmets. Emily Swallow has been showing her face a lot at premiers, what if it’s preparing us to see her face. And Jon Favrou is unavailable to film as Paz so they changed his voice to match the face underneath the helmet. My theory
