I thought I'd watch DAYBREAKERS on Amazon, Halloween and all. For the first half of the movie, ALL the dialogue came out of the right side, and ALL of the music came out of the left side. (I checked my system, it's not me.) I turned on their "dialogue boost" function, which made the dialogue even QUIETER, and then as soon as something happened it was so loud I couldn't even hear myself shouting over it (and shout I did.) So I thought: "Fuck these people, learn how to mix sound!" I gave up and came here, only to have Gary start the show with his mic muted. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY! My costume is race-swapped Rosa Parks, don't ask me to get up.

Twin Peaks the game already exists, and it's called Deadly Premonition. Japanese devs know how to make things inspired by American popculture, it's really weird. Like Silent Hill takes hints from all kinds of American media, but is distinctly Japanese in its execution, and that, I fear, is why the upcoming remake of SH2 is not gonna live up to the original, despite the crazy visuals, photorealism and probably better voice acting (although that damn letter at the end of 2, that's something, gets me every time)

Weird how tastes vary among Buffy fans. Both myself and my wife actually disliked (with a few exceptions) Buffy S.6 and 7. We thought those seasons came across as a show doing imitation Buffy. They were just 'off.' S.5 was the perfect ending for that show. Season 2, 3 & 5 were my fav's, then 4, 1, 6 & 7. For 'Angel' the only season I was luke warm on was 4. Season 2, 3 & 5 stood out, and 1 was merely 'excellent.' 'Firefly' was one of the most tragic cancellations in TV history.

Read many of the expanded universe books, and a few of the comics as well, I even watched the Droids and Ewoks animated series. After my daughter was born in the early 2000s, I introduced her to it, and she loved the original trilogy too (not so much the prequels lol).. Then Disney bought it, and I thought, Hey, a new star wars movie, let's go see it together. We left the theater after watching the Force Awakens, looking at each other and saying 'What the fuck was that shit? The only good things in the film were Finn and BB-8 and most of it made no sense.." We never went back to watch the last two, and neither of us care about Star Wars anymore. Not one bit. It's sad that Disney thinks they can do whatever they want with it, when even George Lucas was afraid to add to the world so he wouldn't mess up the lore that was built up.

But banshee, the TV show does a great job at making all their characters well written without shoving the fact that they are female or whatever else they are down your throat.
