If the Supreme Authority of All Things Weird says it's good, who am I to say otherwise?

Given that introduction I thought for sure they were going to present instead William Castle.

I remember watching this on TV in the 80s. I think we got our 3D glasses at a local 7 Eleven or maybe it was for another 3D movie.

This movie did, indeed, crawl up my spine. Luckily, it was removed without surgery.

0:10- Ooh, is this when Stanley Ipkiss says "Smokin'" and crushes a clock with a mallet? 0:18- I highly doubt that anyone thought there was something wrong with the projector. Just tell me what I have to put on my face. 0:32- What, watch it again? Pay attention to your own damn movie, trailer guy! 1:03- Hi, Jim. Who the hell are you? 1:40- (As Jim) My niece made it for me in her elementary school art class. I taped it to the fridge, and it mysteriously fell off.

Fun Fact: The building that is the supposed museum that the psychiatrist drives to in order to find the mask is the same one on the Rush album cover for Moving Pictures.

This was on WPIX channel 11 in NY in the early 80s. They drummed it up for a couple of weeks. You could get the mask to wear during the movie at select local supermarkets. My friends and I watched it after a few joints and couldn't stop laughing. " PUT THE MASK ON NOW " !! Hahahahahaha. What a pisser. The so called 3D effects left a lot to be desired.

@@stinkypinkeee5085 I remember watching this on KPLR Chan 11 I think. I was like 5 years old and we couldn't find glasses, so my mom found these blue and red clear plastic drawers. Yeah it scares the living hell out me for weeks. Everynight I would go to sleep and hear, "the out the mask on" and the nightmares would start. Lol good times.

Another movie of the 90's I thought was original, but has another past decades before it. Although the one I knew, with Jim Carrey, was obviously not a horror movie. But it's clear that some scenes in that movie are a reference to this movie.
@tenchuu0072 ай бұрын
The Mask in the 90s was based on the much more violent comic book series. That mask is also Norse, and empowers the user with full id. They're similar in the broadest sense, but the idea of people putting on masks to get power is a very, very old one, so it's unlikely there's a direct connection between the movies.
