My man right on time brotha 💯 much love and respect Like I said once before right on time I'm just getting out of work I pulled in with my semi truck as soon as your video popped up. You know self destruction has been my greatest enemy throughout my life As a young kid violence and gang activity was my outlet for emotions which is why I spent 10 years in prison it was only then in solitude for over one year did I finally realize I'm the problem. I've been home for a couple of years now have 4 great kids and make over a 100 grand a year I thank God for this everyday

Something I keep telling myself is that it is important to *feel* your emotion, but you don't have to *show* every emotion you feel
@hakihamilton31792 жыл бұрын
This is why it's good to do foundational shadow work in your own time to get a better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses in your own value and priority hierarchies, so that you have the self awareness to pick out helpful things in the critiques of others and at the same time have enough self esteem to not let provocation spiral you towards dying in a ditch and having emotionally charged reactions. Emotions are not logical and have so many layers to them, so having an acute awareness of your own values and behaviors is imperative to work towards maintaining a masculine frame with a stoic reaction in the face of provocation. Do not dismiss your emotions, but at the same time do not let them be the ultimate decision maker in your life.

This is only how I see the idea of "controlling emotions". Stay with me... I have always believed total control of one's emotions was impossible. It has always been said to me in a context that suggested that I can choose how I feel towards something. I have never been able to CHOOSE HOW I FEEL towards "triggers"; pranks, compliments, bullies, friends, a dead cat on the side of the road. The context in which you explain it here is what I had to learn over time as well. Instead of skipping to the end and controlling or choosing my emotions, I had to learn how to NOT LET THEM CONTROL ME. In my mind, they are not the same thing. It means to control myself and how I respond, IF I respond to triggers or stimuli, external, internal or combined. For example, the holidays are usually a difficult time for me, especially recently. This has been the third year in a row I had been left behind to look after everyone's pets while my friends and family go out of state to enjoy Thanksgiving so I attempted something similar to your ice-cream strategy. I made a peanut butter pie, something that used to be a staple in our family. They were not eating this where they went, so I shared a picture, but kept the pie to myself. A little retribution I thought, but even with that, shifting one's thoughts from the negative to the positive is especially difficult for one with ADHD. I would still find myself circling back to the same feelings of resentment, as if they had conspired to ditch me when I knew that was not true.

Emotion is probably the root cause for 90% of the worlds problems. The more we all can learn how to control it and properly utilize it in constructive and helpful ways, the better we as humans will be.

In the spiritual community this introspection is called alchemizing. Even when you do manage to acknowledge your emotions going forward it's equally important to reflect on everything going backwards. The Yang (shadow) side of an individual is psychic in nature. If and when done right you'll experience visions and senses from your past, this is healing your karmic imprints. It's said in death we feel all the karma we put on others from their perspective and in the end your heart is weighed to determine what's next. You don't have to wait till you die though. When one is done manifesting/full filling their ego the path of enlightenment can begin and start balancing their karma.

I also want you to know that women are learning from your videos too. Just most of us are just quiet about it, except me. It is not really the most welcome environment but the content is fabulous. I know as a fact of my circumstances that every human is on a treacherous life journey. The severity of that journey and the amount of growth required depends on your initial conditions at birth. If like me you are a female given circumstances to have to fend for yourself at an early age you must become double solid in your strength of character and strategy. And we may elect to proceed with the game set to extreme difficulty and follow the archetype of Athena or we may select a warrior to fight on our behalf. To each her own and whatever leads to the most happiness, actualization and fulfilment of a brief life

As a man who has struggled with this I'd like to share some insight with the rest of you, hopefully it resonates with those who are open-minded. There's an allure to being in control, it keeps you safe and also prevents the outside chaos from screwing up your inside peace. Growing up all I heard was "control yourself", "you have to control your emotions", or "be a man". The problem I encountered was "how do I do that?" and "what does that mean?" I was convinced that suppression meant strength, and that emotion clouds judgement; my beliefs ultimately led me down a path where I tried to learn how to ignore my feelings and see things for what they were. I'm sure that this will be familiar to some of you, maybe you've thought the same thing at some point. As I've grown into maturity, I've also learned that suppression does not make you a man, it actually will break you as a man. We are not meant to bottle up what we feel, we are meant to understand our feelings and choose how to better the outside world because of them. It is my belief that the world should benefit from our strengths, and our weaknesses, because we should not depend on anybody else to do it for us. If you do nothing but suppress your self, you are only going to accumulate internal stress which can lead to health-related problems down the line. It's not worth it just so other "real men" see you as a "real" man. What I offer you instead is a tactic that a wise person shared with me. One of the greatest strengths we have as a human being is our curiosity, it is one of the first things we develop as a young child and it is through our curiosity that we learn about the outside world. Sadly, we push it to the side because of our accumulated experiences and because we "know better". I will argue that it is our curiosity that can help us through even the harshest emotional reactivity, and even through traumatic events. It is curiosity that will help you understand your self, your secrets, and also your inner chaos; it takes a real man to be able to look at these things directly, and own them. Over-reacting is just your body/mind responding to a perceived threat, it may or may not, even be a real threat to your life. It's the perception that will dominate you, the thing that you must understand to truly be free. Breathe, get your body under control. Your body is just trying to help you survive, but, unless you are faced with a legitimate threat, it may not be the best way to handle things. Next is the perception, which is what you have to get a hold of. Somehow you have a belief about whatever triggered you, and it's your job to understand it or else you will be a slave to it. By being curious about it, you can look at your internal workings without judging yourself, and see what makes you tick. Don't give yourself a hard time for it, just let it work itself out. Maybe you have something that needs to come out (anger, resentment, bitterness, mourning) and you should dedicate time into that. The gym, combat training, a hike/run, or even screaming can help. Learn from it what you can ... and let it go. You would be surprised at the strength you will find at the other end of your suffering. Let this motivate you to do something constructive, and turn your weakness into a potential strength. The funny thing is that once I found that strength, I realized that all of the people who told me to "control myself" never really learned how to do that other than by suppressing themselves. They meant well, but they just didn't know any better. Sometimes people only do what they were taught to do by other people who were never taught properly, or, sadly, by people who learned from bad experiences and never let it go. They are life-long victims, and it is unacceptable, as a man, to be a victim of somebody else's suffering. It is your duty to be FREE men. That liberty is worth it. Peace.
