He was booed multiple times by AC Milan fans at Milan stadium in Italy, I remember that very well. Fantastic player but not a fans favourite.
@Harry-tb8yoАй бұрын
@@BPTB1 Even Maldini sometimes has been booed at San Siro. But that doesn't take away anything from the legend status Maldini and Seedorf have at AC Milan. AC Milan's fan base in general is very critical and demanding, for my taste a bit too impatient at times.
@BPTB1Ай бұрын
@Harry-tb8yo Maldini was never booed at San Siro, Maldini had some personal problems with a small part of the AC Milan fans, it all started after the Champions League final that Milan lost against Liverpool in 2005 where some AC Milan fans disputed AC Milan players and Maldini reacted by insulting those fans. Seedorf was booed because a part of the AC Milan fans didn't like him.

What makes this guy so good was that he could do the job of gattuso brealing up opposition attacks, he could pick a pass just like pirlo but could also dribble past players like kaka. Ive not even mentioned his shooting ability Hes seriously underrated and should be mentioned in the same breath as iniesta, iniesta, scholes, gerrard,
@PitchDynastyАй бұрын
Totally agree! A player with that combination of qualities is incredibly rare. To have the defensive tenacity of Gattuso, the vision of Pirlo, the dribbling of Kaká, and the shooting ability to top it off makes him a complete midfielder. It's true that players like Iniesta, Scholes, and Gerrard often get more recognition, but it seems like this guy had all the tools to be on that level. Maybe he gets overlooked because of the era he played in or the team he was part of, but those who watched him closely know how special he was.
@Harry-tb8yoАй бұрын
No offense to Scholes and Gerrard but I see Seedorf at the rank of Zidane. I find it hard to compare him or anyone else to Iniesta. From my point of view Iniesta and Xavi always seemed like one player and it felt weird when only one of them was on the pitch.

Seedorf is still my favourite player. Smooth and elegant in his movements and with the ball, vision, intelligence, technique, strong physicality and a perfect shooting technique. Not only did he have it all, he still has it. Saw a video about a game between Real Madrid and Porto legends recently. He played as if he never retired from football. A joy to watch.
@PitchDynastyАй бұрын
Seedorf was the complete package-he made the game look so effortless and beautiful. His elegance on the ball, the precision of his passes, and his sheer intelligence were unmatched. It’s rare to find a player who combines physical strength, technical ability, and football IQ at such a high level. Seeing him play, even now in those legends' games, is a reminder of why he was so special. True class is timeless, and Seedorf is living proof of that. A true joy to watch, both then and now!
@Harry-tb8yoАй бұрын
@@PitchDynasty Perfectly written! Watching him play alongside players like Pirlo, Ronaldinho or Zidane in that legends game is just something to enjoy. The funny thing is that in that legends game Zidane and Seedorf really seemed to be serious and in competitive mode which made it even more enjoyable.

Seedorf's record of winning a Champion's league with 3 different teams is the reason I believe any tournament is won in the midfield. Teams that struggle for form or trophies usually have poor midfielders or poor combinations in midfield

I've been saying this for nearly 10 years. It's a travesty that Clarence Seedorf never won a Balon 'd Or - maybe he didn't fit the 'profile'? I'm sure many of his fellow pro's are just as bemused. He was a complete player; skill, panache. imagination, speed and power - master of the ball. He could still play 25 quality games a season for a good team if used correctly.
