Update - huge thanks to Knil who has confirmed another mirrored version in the Phantom Ganon Sanctum scene specific to TOTK 🤯
🔍 A Hidden Gem Uncovered! | New Triforce Discovery in BOTW 🗝️
Welcome back Zelda Tribe! In today's video, we dive deep into the heart of Hyrule Castle in 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' to uncover a hidden secret that's been lying in plain sight since the game's release. I've stumbled upon something extraordinary - a Mirrored Triforce, a unique twist to the iconic symbol we all know and love. And the symbols are back to normal in TOTK…We have a new mystery on our hands!
🌟 Why is this a groundbreaking find?
This isn't just any discovery; it's a revelation that challenges the traditional Zelda lore and adds a new layer to our understanding of the Triforce's significance. The mirror-like arrangement is a deviation never seen. It's a discovery that has gone unnoticed until now, and it perfectly ties into the theories here on GameSmiths
📜 Connecting the Dots
In this video, I connect the dots between this new finding and my previous theories, exploring how this mirrored Triforce could reshape our perceptions of the Zelda universe. Is it a mere artistic choice, or does it hold a deeper, hidden meaning related to the series' mythology?

🔎 Join the Quest for Answers
I invite you on this journey of discovery and speculation. Your insights and theories are invaluable - let's unravel this mystery together! Did the creators leave this clue intentionally? How does it fit into the grander narrative of 'Breath of the Wild' and the entire Zelda series? Considering the same place in Tears of the Kingdom’s Sanctum has the Triforce in the usual configuration, the curiosity only deepens as to what the reasoning is. Could his be a MASSIVE clue left by the Devs, such as the hints from Hidemaro Fujibayashi that players haven’t found everything yet, or is it just an error? Seems a little odd though the same exact spot is different in the two games…

Do you think this new discovery alters the conventional Zelda narrative? What do you think it could mean? What would you like to know more about?

What do you all think? Artistic choice? Mistake? Nothingburger or Major find? What does it mean? You know I've got a view on things...but let's hear your thoughts and please be respectful of others in the comments who love the series. Trust me, there's plenty more secrets to be revealed from GameSmiths...this is only one of many yet to be published. Keep being amazing 💚💚🌟🌟 UPDATE Feb 2024 - hope you got something from this. I actually have quite a bit more to add on this including a lot more evidence and findings not covered by anyone else forming part of an overall theory arc so stay tuned for more. You may be interested to know the “mirror” reflected Triforce shows up in TOTK during one fight scene (won’t spoil it of course) but needless to say I’ve researched that and it’s definitely new rendering meaning, to me and a few I’ve discussed it with, it appears to be done specifically for that moment in TOTK. Implications are quite large for lore nuts like myself as the implied moment connects to a few other finds. Keep your eyes out over the next few theories coming from me and you’ll see what I’m saying in due time. There’s a lot of hints from the Big N in my humble opinion and they are leading to a way of understanding the chronicles overall which is amazing if you love that sort of thing. It’s always debatable as Nintendo have outright refused to state one way or the other but the fun is piecing it together if you ask me. Keep being amazing and all the best 💚💫

@@haileeraestout5567agree - my theory on connections and the moment recently on this channel very much go into exploring Fi’s connection between Link and Zelda in both BOTW and TOTK. if you haven’t seen them, check it out as it sounds very much in the same mindset. I’ve also done a short featuring a video from Exen that shows the golden spiral from the sword. It’s in line with the golden ratio or Phi and the implications are interesting 💚💫

This is really cool. You've made me realize something that could be relevant to this: -The memories in BotW of Zelda travelling to the springs could be seen as a mirrored journey of Links usual story: The bearer of the Triforce of courage usually goes on a journey that takes him to various holy locations across the kingdom in order to obtain items/powers that will allow him to face and seal away the evil force plaguing Hyrule. However, Zelda travels to all the holy sites across Hyrule yet obtains nothing from the springs. It's only in a moment of desperation that she was able to use the sealing power within her, sort or her own "courage need not be remembered, for it is never forgotten" moment. -Another BotW detail about Zeldas character and personality is that she's incredibly studious. She has her own library off of her room plus access to the largest intact library across all Hyrule. She's never outright called Wise by anyone that I can recall, but the game heavily implies she is incredibly well-read and intelligent. Zelda thought Wisdom was the key to her personal growth and success. Yet in the end it was her Courage that saved her and Link.

I think the royal family being represented by blue is a kind of a mistake. Not an error by nintendo, but an in-universe folly. I belive it represents unmitigated use of the Sheikah energy adn the mistake of relying on Guardians, as it would be a metaphor for easy living through nuclear energy, without enough care for the radiation spillover, Malice, or the waste byproduct that is Gloom. The original Royal color came not from SILENCED Princess, but form Sundelion, natural white and wheat gold. Blue in the hair was Mineru's color. And traditionally, it is not those natural hues that represent Zelda. It's the tainted purple, perhaps red washed with the royal blue, to combine into power, and temperance of taking responsibility for its scarring effects. I also believe Rauru was somehow wished into existence by Sonia's rituals, taken from the spirit world of the actual past to create this construct in flesh. To house their spirits and combine the spirit world and material world and so creating the Sacred Realm. The ancient past of TotK would then be a lot like the bath house world in Spirited away: "the past", yes, but more importantly the spiritual past seeping into the material present. My clue was the interpretation of TotK being inspired by the tale of Okuninushi and the Rabbit, as well as the proto-Ghibli film The Flight of Dragons. Extrapolating from that, I believe Sonia's grandest legacy is upkept by the Fairies, and thus combining back into Fi. THAT is her true character, the Great Fairy.

Don't forget that ALTTP had a Dark World in Sacred Realm mirroring the Light World, and Skyward Sword's Silent Realm was a place where Trforce could be seen reflected in the waters, if you look in first-person view. I vaguely recall 1st person view was somehow justified as powered by Fi, like Z-Targeting in Ocarian of Time by Navi.

@sboinkthelegday3892 For sure! ALTTP remains my sentimental fave and still have that sucker locked and loaded in an OG SNES for whenever I feel nostalgic and the mirror traversal and same world - definitely felt that playing TOTK. The Silent Realm and tears are actually part of another theory I’m yet to do and there’s a lot there to dive into which is awesome to hear you mention. Love your work thanks mate 💚💫

I would have to disagree on the notion that it was Courage _alone_ which allowed her to awaken the Triforce within her as all the memories in Breath of the Wild show different sides to her character's growth and development as a person as she undergoes the process to awaken her "Sealing Power" through interactions with Link, the Champions and her own father leading to her growth and development. She didn't _only_ grow in Courage across the memories but also Power and Wisdom as her "arc" in Breath of the Wild involved her quest for growth and to thrive very much as it is subtly represented by the Silent Princess flower which is itself on a quest for growth amidst the Wild that surrounds it. Only after achieving and developing a balance between Power, Courage and Wisdom was Zelda finally allowed to awaken her Sealing Power to vanquish the Calamity is it was about to harm the one she cared for the most. It wasn't just Courage which granted her wish but the balance between all the 3 concepts within her heart that allowed the Triforce's might to unleash itself against the Calamity.

😮! Amazing find! Remember when botw Zelda wrote in her diary about Queen Sonia warning her in a dream?? They had more story than could be shared in botw, but it was fleshed out even back then. And that is why I absolutely think this is a something-burger. Why would the triforce be fixed in TOTK? Did you know there is an upside down piece of wall on one of the Zonai Loméi labyrinths in botw? I don’t know if this was also fixed/reflected in TOTK, but what if that was a door or something? Talk about replay ability, if Nintendo somehow engineered their sequel to make us all look for hidden content playing botw again, I will be so impressed

Even if it is shorter and plagued by the Lord Error taking over your video editor, it's still an incredible video. And it was great to accompany you on this journey to bring this7 year old long-lost secret to life. The mirroring of this Triforce is such an interesting concept that couldn't possibly have been done on accident, especially not opposite to the throne room itself, and especially not in the literal final boss room. All of these small minute details could be passed off as unimportant or meaningless, but to look into them further and explore what's there, that's the best part. This Triforce could foretell so much to where the series will head with the alteration, mirroring, flipping and all other shifts of the Triforce. And I can't wait to continue forging the path ahead alongside you.

Why thank you Dan and as always, couldn't do this without you my friend - truly an inspiring and motivating force on the daily which is true Hero Mode. The recent post will help add some even more substantiation to the fold... I may have left that out of the video due to time issues but the section in Creating a Champion makes specific reference to the Triforce (Page 253) - Center of Floor and the mirror reflection of the Triforce from the sunlight beaming in behind the throne down to the floor ... could be a coincidence or symbolically foreshadowing... Gotta love the fact that either Zelda continue to provide the most extensive odd coincidences I've ever experienced or the devs seriously put such care into their work, that I wonder how much more layers await - either way, I feel at home with this series for a reason. Thanks for being Amazing Dan, and loved your video too. There's more connections there including the ones I put in the comments and maybe a few that are yet to be revealed. 💚🌟

I think Zelda being seen as courageous in both BOTW and TOTK is hard to miss. Especially when she literally sacrificed her Hylian form and memories in TOTK to restore the Master Sword and to present it to Link. You could also argue that Link is gaining wisdom, by getting back his memories in BOTW, and learning how to use his new hand abilities in TOTK. If that configuration is indeed canon, and not just a design oopie, then I can easily see how that role reversal could happen.

@@gamesmiths Thanks for your reply! I think that SS, BOTW and TOTK are probably in their own part of the Zelda universe, especially the latter two. As Hylia was first introduced in SS, then was mostly showcased in the other two as the main goddess. It was most likely an art error since we see the correct order every where else. The team never bothered to fix it since its in an area that players would normally not able to see because of the cut scene box would prevent people from seeing it great detail. It was corrected in totk as players would be able to explore the sanctuary after the phantom gannon fight.

A fair call though I have to point out that weirdly, it is flipped again during the phantom Ganon fight...strange they would choose to do this during that scene and make the same error on a texture for a second time. Also, if it was an error (and there's every chance it is), why not correct it on BOTW? Just seems odd to me, but thanks for your comment and appreciate the feedback. Have a good one 💚🌟

Great video! Love the attention to detail, because despite Nintendos reputation for gameplay first, story second philosophy, it is unfair to say they have not also put incredible amounts of attention and detail to the story, and the environment that has been their baby for almost 10 years. It’s refreshing to see a video digging deep into the nitty gritty to find compelling information and evidence for something larger than just the singular game itself. I am stoked that Nintendo has reinforced your theory and ideas that you have had since BotW, and seeing them tie together is truly legendary! Looking forward to where this can take not just you, but all of us fans who share a passion!

That’s got me pondering something else actually considering the mirror trope and that connection with phantom Ganondorf. There’s a few locations coming to mind where a similar reference might exist - albeit a different form. For example we know the Zonai ruins had specific locations and my friend Dan the Man has done a video at the same time about the mirror imagery of the statues with Typhlo Ruins also significant. More and more this thread seems have more value with new perspective so love the input and really appreciated. All the best 💚💫

Man this is awesome. Nothing in zelda is depicted randomly. May be unplanning but not randomly. Remember that in BotW and TotK time line Zelda is the owner of the triforce.
@gamesmiths
@gamesmiths 7 ай бұрын
Absolutely. You might find it interesting to note that the stave featuring Zelda’s lullaby behind the throne sitting opposite this one is the same depiction as the gate of time with 2 significant differences - the 3 melodies are pointed by the symbols for the 3 Golden Goddesses (Din, Nayru and Farore) on the Gate of Time whereas here they are absent. Secondly, the melodies on the Gate of Time are 3 unique pieces, arguably associated with said virtues (Power, Wisdom & Courage) yet the one behind the throne has the same melody for each section - Zelda’s lullaby. Making this reference somewhat more interesting is my interpretation that the ancient past depicted in TOTK is forming an iteration prior to Skyward Sword. Ballad of the Goddess is iconic to Skyward Sword and stated to be a “mysterious ancient melody” of an unknown origin in that game. This caused confusion for fans like myself at the time when you realise the first chronological use of Zelda’s lullaby is in Ocarina of Time. We wondered how this could then be simultaneously connected to Hylia as the Ballad of the Goddess and already ancient in the era of Skyward Sword which predates Ocarina by such a massive span of time… Theoretically speaking, I can’t help but notice how these events and references come together so well now with TOTK. Consider this an oversimplified example, but should this reality, that is experienced in TOTK references that orientation towards Zelda specifically as you mention which helps explain the melodies being all indicative of Zelda’s lullaby. The mirror reflection Triforce reinforcing this as an alternate reality, very much showing a shift in the balance of the virtues and traditional Triforce piece owners, and also going a long way to explaining how the ballad of the goddess came into being. It would be precious to her Chamberlain, a fair assumption based on her writings on the stone sky tablets in TOTK where she clearly shows a bond with Zelda. Forming part of the close group of Hylians who send the islands Skybound with the aid of Mineru and knowing that a “zelda” will need to exist in the future in order return to the past to help seal Demon Lord Ganondorf, in addition to the chosen knight named Link to be trained as the Hero worthy of the sword, she would likely have established the ballad of the Goddess knowing it would be inexplicably linked to these characters and the future as well as the “tradition” of naming the royal bloodlines daughter as Zelda - as a necessity as opposed to a simple tradition with less gravitas. It’s one fascinating extrapolation of the observation you’ve pointed out, and shows the care and attention to detail I truly believe is fitting for this wonderful series. Thanks for your comment and I hope you enjoy this extra level of lore and speculation that’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of materials I’ve been researching for a long time, yet still seem to find more detail thats just so much fun to explore and consider. All the best and keep being amazing 💚💫

Interesting theory, It makes a lot of since that the Gannon would have beaten the champion 100 years earlier if he was seeking the power of courage and Zelda was seeking wisdom. I have not seen all of the memories yet, but Zelda does tell Link that courage may not be enough and he should be more thoughtful. Also Zelda seeking wisdom does not allow her to harness her true powers. When the champion and princess seek the other power they end up defeating Gannon. It totally works!

Yes that’s kinda my point. What is interesting is that same inversion occurs during the Phantom Ganon fight scene in TOTK. The moment is completely different, in the new title, yet occurs during that scene when his magic is cast on the sanctum. Seems odd to make the same mistake, in a completely different game, when you’ve corrected the texture without bothering to fix it in the last game. We’ve found more on this topic since and the “mirror” trope is reiterated in TOTK - through a variety of elements. For what it’s worth - countless hours of research etc that my theory arc is based on suggests Nintendo are far from done with the existing lore - more so they’re expanding and embracing it. I found this because I was specifically looking for it based on that theory arc, and the Twilight and Lorulean facets are very much part of that theme. Thanks for sharing and all the best 💚💫

Being that I do this at night I did have headphones etc to not wake up the family before upload and sounded ok. Being enthusiastic I may have pushed it up without the usual checks and I normally get my wife to watch first as well in case. I hadn’t watched it after uploading and hearing it back on a regular tv I can see what you mean. The audio completely drops off in that transition which kinda sucks considering it’s a really interesting commentary considering what’s come to light. Appreciate the heads up and I’ll take that on - never pays to push something out no matter how excited/tired you are because it’s infinitely harder to fix once posted. I’ll see if I can tweak it via YT studio but it’s a rough cut for sure. Thanks again and all the best 💫💚

Not just TOTK & BOTW - but other titles too. Either I’m too far down the rabbit hole or Nintendo are masters at weaving a loving tapestry of lore we are only partially across and it only gets more interesting when you start to facilitate multiple perspectives realising this beautiful artistry is engaging multiple channels, dimensions , senses and layering to provide a genuine experience for everyone that you start to appreciate you are still “playing Zelda” even when you’re not. I stand by my head canon that TOTK's Hyrule is an illusion put together by Vaati. That would explain why key locations are altered and why some residents are unfamilar with Link. The Hyrule we visit in TOTK is not the same as BOTW.

Love it. To add some weight to your head cannon, the massive skeletal bones littered everywhere around Hyrule are significantly larger than any creature we tend to see and there’s loads of them everywhere. Also - fun fact - Minish Cap also does not specifically feature a Triforce - rather rare amongst the series. Thanks for sharing and stand strong on that head cannon - I think it sounds awesome 💚💫

I mean it's possible that "someone" could be causing an illusion which makes every single sentient being in Hyrule, be them mortal or divine, to see a totally different kingdom to the one seen 6 years prior as an explanation for the expanded environment added in Tears of the Kingdom yet i don't see how and why it would be _Vaati_ who's responsible when the character is neither owned by Nintendo (he was created by Capcom for what's practically a spinoff trilogy set independently from the main series canon) or is still _alive_ following his death at the end of Four Swords Adventures for him to be the source for this hypothetical illusion. As to the subject of why almost no one remembers Link i can't find any other logical explanation other than Nintendo wanting the game to be as accessible to newcomer players as possible who didn't play Breath of the Wild and thus wouldn't be able to be "up to date" with Link's past relationships from the previous game. In simple words this apparent collective "amnesia" among the denizens of Hyrule is nothing more than a simple oversight from Nintendo's part who wished for new players to be able to enjoy this new game without the need of having to play an entire previous game in order to know the many characters who had already met Link in said previous game. Nothing to do with any illusions or the possibility we're in a different kingdom entirely as far as i'm concerned.

@@gamesmithsThis is an interesting video which i admit has gotten me intrigued as to the plausability so i give you props for your work. 👍😀 As to what you said regarding the Triforce not appearing in The Minish Cap i regret to inform that the _symbol_ of the Triforce does in fact appear both atop the bell near the northern entrance to Hyrule Town and in the 2 shields Link can equip confirming it's aknowledgement by the inhabitants of Hyrule during the Force Era. While it's existence in the story of The Minish Cap is irrelevant to the events of the game it is very much clear by it's visual pressence within the game's environment that the golden relic is part of Hyrule's Lore very much as we see in Breath of the Wild courtesy of the many visual references as shown across the many locations in Hyrule Castle. With all that said i very much enjoyed this video and so i wish you success with your further research in the future. ❤️❤️🌟🌟👍😉 PS: I tried to write these comments with my other account but for some reason it wouldn't appear in the thread. Thus i have no choice but to use a new account in order to write comments. 😅😓
