I encountered the scripted fast beeping near the mark ending, I immediately noped out by reversing. I just keep getting chased by the fast beeping, not knowing I was supposed to take a picture of it, then get wrecked by reversing into a wall

That image of the monster eye gets glued to your camera's perspective once you pass a certain in game trigger. There's no model for it, it's just that single image that is removed once you take the photo of it.

I watched a vid of someone doing that and they didn’t even need to disable it because it happens on the last one that you get no matter what route you take. Unless you are talking about getting all of the images not specifically the last one you would usually get which probably would not lead to much.

The glowing thing could have something to do with the teleportation but it doesn’t teleport you when you go inside it. You just go straight through and hit the wall on the other side. You are somehow randomly teleported twice throughout the playthrough though. Also, the last picture is another building like one of the other ones. There’s a couple great videos of some dude who downloaded the unity assets and did an overview on the map.

It is just a glowing thing. There is no monster running around, everything is scripted and order of taking pictures dosen`t matter. People already broke down this game and it is just camera moving around, actual submarine is out of map, monster eye picture and big fish is just a script tied to triggers. The area players is moving around is the only real thing, everything else is just a script.

Hard mode: beat the game without using the map. Harder mode: recompile the game to disable the proximity indicators and beat the game without using the map.

Nah, the game isnt really playable without the map, since you need to know where to go. I think a true hard mode would be no proximity sensors, forcing you to memorize exact coordinates.

I have a theory: This fish is studying you, you're an unknown thing to it. It gets up close... and then you flash it with your camera, angering it. Also, what happens if it's still outside when you try to take the final photo? Do you get the eye photo, or the game ending jumpscare?
