The absolute best most real enmeshed immersive moving live performance I have ever seen... The group was so in sync with the intention of the beautiful words of this poem to all of us, the other comments not withstanding, the words to this song are what make it so special, and the total immersion of each group member into the cause of this song, as one, I can think of only one other song performance, even close ... . The guy next to the stage, immersed in experiencing it, the girl who appears to want so much to see what is happening, her look, the excitement notwithstanding how she appears out of tune, the sense that she has got to see what is going on, and her too cool hippy vibe, what an amazing together time, and real. . the total involvement in the mood of every note of Ray, his sheepishness when he messes up his first part ( I saw him in person, and he was always candid, about being awful when he missed notes, ti was absolutely endearing and I thnk is the gel that made that together emotion possible, but he nails it later on, and his total body absorbption into what the song means, his so cool self-effacing comments to begin, he was such a wonderful wonderful human being and it comes through here and will always do so, , Justin's absolutely beautiful guitar work, better than the studio version, the perfectly timed emotion of the guitar complimenting perfectly the intentions of Mike Pinder. . The Moody Blues were a creation of that time, the perfect coming together of optimism, awareness, realization of the horrific state of our World, at the same time, the idealistic view, to get away from it, as an entire generation did for such a beautiful if short time. . It is not any one's fault that this MOOD did not linger, the era that followed simply did not allow it. . But they Key to this whole thing, is the beauty of the message: tune out of an Awful World, TUNE into World where you are truly FREE of such a horrible present reality, and immerse yourself in each other, letting each other know there is a good reality, and it is starts with realizing we are all the together in this VOYAGE, not ALONE, and an ETERNITY is in that moment of realization. . it is that feeling that comes across so beautifully. The BAND is ONE - the complete emersion of Graeme Edge and John Lodge's amazing part of the sshhing, I have not ever seen any other song peformed so perfectly, the imperfection of Ray is what makes it even more amazing, his whole body recoiling, but then coming so back in tune, you know this group is real and true. I am speechless. and could play this over & over again, for all eternity … I know Ray will be forever … as will all of the Moodies, the most amazing collection of common purpose, that we will ever see, but will return, I am certain one day... if we make it there, through the nightmare we are enduring, this song and group makes it possible to endure. I touch each their spirits, they are a part of us and will always be...
