I bought the most hyped watch of 2022 - Swatch and Omega collaboration. Here is my unboxing and first impression of the MoonSwatch Mission to Jupiter bioceramic watch.

People should stop criticizing the Swatch moonswatch it's a Swatch watch after it is suppose to be be light and it is stronger than you think I own several Swatches since 1984 up to the system 51 and never had an issues with any of them so just enjoy the watch

Can't say anything about Swatch watches in general but the MoonSwatches quality is very bad.

I’m so glad they didn’t release these online, I would have bought one without knowing the extremely poor build quality. Instead of buying 2 of these (which was my idea) I bought the Hamilton Khaki Auto. I almost bought into the hype 😬

Yep. This is just plastic toy. Hamilton is much much better as a watch. So you did the right choice.

I think its the most fun watch and fashion watch to have.. I have over 20 high quality watches and this is one of the most fun I have these days..

Thank you for the thorough review. I got so crazy about these watches 'till I realized these are more of toy watches quality for the money. I thought they were upgraded quality from Swatch.

Glad the review was helpful. No, the quality is pretty bad for that money they could do better. But as a toy-watch they are fun to wear.

I changed the strap immediately 😅 brought a leather with black and orange it made look much better I think will share with pictures if u are interested

If you want a cheaper moonwatch, the Lunar Pilot is definitely a better choice. I've seen 2 counterfeits of the Moonswatch from China on youTube. One was supposedly cheaper in some ways and better in others. The other seemed to be just cheaper. I think it wouldn't be too hard to have a counterfeit which was actually a BETTER watch than the original. The inability to open the case, the quality problems, and the running of the pigment in the case all kind of makes me want to pass. I'm glad they didn't sell it online because I probably would have bought one. I think many of us dodged a bullet. I think Swatch turned a a great idea into a way to anger a substantial part of the watch market.

Bulova Moonwatch / Lunar Pilot is a very good watch for the money. Still, I don't think it is a good idea to buy any fake watch, even MoonSwatch, even if they are better quality.

@@OneManReviews I can't disagree with that. Yet it would certainly be a NEW situation if the fake were actually a better watch than the original. Imagine a watch with a plastic outer and a steel inner that you could open with a mechanical movement, a sapphire crystal, a first class bezel, etc. Something that looked like a moonswatch, but which was actually an excellent, well made, long wearing watch. Though I'd take the Omega off the dial. Of course by the time you do that, you could have just bought the Lunar Pilot. Maybe the idea is just flawed. Like a discount pacemaker for people with bad hearts. Who'd want it in their chest?

@@carbondragon I have Bulova Moonwatch for many years. That is a legit and affordable Moonwatch and not Omega copy. MoonSwatch is a legit copy from Omega (and Swatch) but very poor quality watch. There is a big chance that fake watches could have a better quality in this case. So it is a very weird situation for Swatch Group. I really hope they will improve th QC.

Hey! I also have a Bulova, the one with the black pvd finish...I love this watch. Unfortunately I don't have any moonswatch and I don't think I'll buy it, what I do have are two Chinese replicas with an aluminum alloy case, mecaquartz and interchangeable mineral glass, €30. If the swatch cost €160 it would be expensive, but affordable. For €260 it is simply a steal. If I had an original I don't think I would use it much, I would probably keep it as a collector's item.

The Moonwatch from Bulova is a great watch. I cannot consider MoonSwatch as a serious watch. It is just a toy for fun - nothing else.

About having these as your beater watch - i think it can work since they’re bioceramic, isn’t it supposed to be tough or something?

Nope. They are not tough at all. The bioceramic is basically plastic and the glass is very scratchable plastic.

Hey I just bought the omega mission to Sun ! How do we change the timing as how much ever I pop up for resetting it doesn’t help me reset ! Like how you showed in the end of the video ? What’s the way we can do it to change the time ?

Turns out they are complete garbage! When I finally held one and tried it on my only thought was $100 US was a good price point but only if you had $100 to throw away. I know three people that own and wear them… All three have said the same thing… The straps Frey and come apart after a couple of months of where and two of the people reported back to me that pushers had fallen off and they had super glued them back on! They are complete and utter garbage Which is backed up by ads now coming out with discounted prices of $149 for all the color variants. Still $50 overpriced but getting closer!

I also see that they released a flood of them onto the market with the second batch release… assuming that they’re going to be mail order now.

@@OneManReviews This inexpensive Speedmaster concept could have been done with a lot more finesse. The price is way too cheap to be of decent quality. The price should be double at least. Make the lens actual glass, make a rubber strap, make the case something other than plastic.
