@@ScooterCat64 Well we don’t know what the budget for that movie is yet. Although for 2D animation, it’s usually way cheaper to make compared to 3D CGI. Already, the film has been released in a couple of countries like Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Greece, etc. and so far it’s made about $500,000 dollars at the box office.

It was originally called Zootopia but when it was released into European countries, it was called Zootropolis because there was a Danish zoo that had already trademarked the name “Zootopia” so they had to change the title. It’s a lot like how Pokémon was originally called Pocket Monsters in Japan, but due to trademark issues with a similar name of a toy line called “Monster in my Pocket” Pocket Monsters was changed into Pokemon when it got brought over to the U.S.

I don’t think Treasure Planet was bad or good movie but mid. Yes it was a major flop in Nov 2002. The last Pixar movie I care was Toy Story 3 and Inside Out yet Pixar declined in the 2010s and 20s with Lukewarm sequels and originals after two thousand and ten’s Tot Story 3. I stopped caring about Sisney 20 years ago with Jome on The Range. Mid-to-late 2000s 10s and 20s have been lukewarm movies. Comlared to mid and bad ans two good mkvkes of the early teonthousands as the 90s were the last time Disney was fantastic.

Agreed, at least when it comes to Disney. I do have a massive soft spot for 2D animated movies though and the progression of Treasure Planet's pacing wasn't too contrived compared to today's animated films. I would say as far as animated films went in general, ~2010 was the last flash in the pan for well-rounded animated films.
