Yea, I saw Hellsing: Dawn. The Captain was indeed a badass there too, although personally I never liked how Walter was able to draw blood from him with a headbutt. It just felt odd to me that a mere kid could damage one of the strongest characters in the series, even if he did get enhanced training. IDK.

Yeah that was great, the fact that he just stopped the war by showing up, landed in the middle of enemy lines and just smiled as the enemy leaders showed up with him was perfect. Dude established his presence instantly. I gotta admit though, I honestly felt the variation of hellsing abridged was badass too. Less pure presence and more the dude turned a burned out battleship hulk into a sound system and basically went, "DADDYS HOME!" Was a whole different kind of awesome. The raw level of "I dont give an eff or take any of this seriously, try and make me" he was exuding was epic.

@@VaswTs Yeah, too OP for his own good. You just know that nothing will happen to him when he shows up, makes him a somewhat boring character to be honest. The stakes were higher and there was more tension when he was stranded in the ocean and the rest of the cast had to fend for themselves.

@@PerritoGG Doesn't make him a boring character at all. He even got defeated by the end of Hellsing. He just came back with all his powers gonna and instead as an omnipresent vampire. Things can happen to him. He is just technically the main character of Hellsing and that's how it works. Doesn't make him boring whatsoever. He is well written and has an amazing backstory and development as well as amazing powers. Nobody said that the characters are dependant on Alucard, and like you said every character had to fend for themselves and proved that they could.

And the Hellsing would've been entirely wiped out had he not appeared (they almost were already in the time he was away). I'm not saying he's a bad character but you know that nothing is a stake against him when he's onscreen. He's just all style.
