Amazing video! I love this fractal and run it with 3 scourges everyday with some friends. BIG PP DPS. Small tip my friends showed me is that if you have an Asura character you can use Technobabble for an instant cast 1,200 range stun for 3 seconds! It does not interrupt any other skills and also gets buffed for even more CC when you have the warhorn out with paralyzation sigil!

I realized no one knows how this fight works and never teaches it to noobs. 1) You don't have to CC her to the side at Light phase, in fact fore newer players or what we do is CC her to middle. This way Scourge can go full dps, no need to take spectral grasp nor golem. you just take more dps. neither need to swap to the horn. You CC her as late as possible to extend the dps time. You spread around and then run to middle and someone, usually Alac is responsible to brake the bar as late as possible while Guardians start the CC with sanctuary, depending how well Alac can CC you need no CC and you have max dps time thisway. This is more Noob friendly option and one we use. Again you don't need CC if Alac is not stupid :D 2) They skip the air phase thanks to high dmg. The boss summons 8 storm coulds, you have to gather 3 orbs and jump. You run clock wise and skip every other cloud. This is the most effective way to do them. 3) In the fire phase the first "safe rock" (every other rock blows up and wont protect you from the boss AOE) spawns opposite side of the Entry way to the boss. People usually use the Portal gun from Raids at the middle which Mirage can do also you wait to use the portal just before the rocks from the sky fall on you. without portal fun, position yourself opposite to the Entry way, make sure to drop the rocks at the wall and then walk to the stone. If you don't phase the boss the next safe stone should rotate clockwise (but I have seen it be else where too) 4) Night Phase you want to delay the CC as much as possible, usually Alac and 2x Firebrand will handle this so you are on full dps rotation. The later you brake more dps time you have making it more likely that you Phase the boss before it dashes. 5) at 66% one sorrow will spawn and at 33% two of them will spawn. If you are not running 2x Epidemic you have to CC them. Usually Alac and HealFirebrand go to the left one and everyone else to the right, you use all CC there. If you do not use 2x Epidemic then you want to have Spectral Grasp for this to make sure you an CC her, usually people /GG after Light phase as there is check point. The Sorrows at 33% spawn on both sides from the middle add that casts the tether to boss and one of the players. From left and right of the middle add you split to CC. You can ask before hand if you need more or less CC or if you are going to use 2x Epidemic ~ basically if you have two scourges vs if there are Holosmith and more ... You need to deal 1500 Brake Bar dmg on both adds, Alac Mirage and Alac Renegade in theory can solo these which is why heal firebrand usually is helping. Other healers can also help with this. Stupid information Alac Power Renegade staff deals 150 to 1350 brake bar dmg. Mirage dropping Jaunt for Moa signet deals around 1400 Brake Bar dgm with F3, staff 5, heal and Signet ... Holosmith also has great CC with his Shield having 2x CC, eltie skill is CC, F1 will be CC as well Holoforge 5 is CC for starters, just lookout you don't over heat as that is dps loss just before burst pahse right after braking the defiance bar :D When I asked about CM100 mechanics almost no one could tell me these things. ONE person know about the alternative Night phase CC and how that is done, and everyone knew about the Air phase and no one knew about the first rock in fire phase is safe opposite side of the entry way. You just camp the wall there, cast some stability wait until the rocks start to fall and outheal the fire. Herald/renegade or someone else can easily give Stability to avoid getting knocked down while Healer can outheal if you don't have access to portal. The next one should be clock wise but I'm not 100% sure about that :D I hope this had something new for hte Raavalicious also ;) as I don't know if you knew that about fire phase? If you did I'm dissapointed that you assume people having portal gun 100% of the times even if they are new group ;) Other that missing CM100 mechancis from your Scourge guide great job ... In theory you could laso take Heal Tempest and abuse the Rebound! to deal more dps ... I have not tested this how well that would work, probably less dps overall becaue one of the dps have to now generate Qucikness.

Awesome guide! Really nice to see a guide showing the importance of CC (and what skills to actually use), and no healbrand also :). One point though, the dash on Dark Ai is completely random from a lot of testing and the focusing on the furthest player away appears to be a common myth. Although stacking on the wall is still good though as it helps to avoid the lasers and aim toxic sickness in the same direction.

To any1 starting CMs, take this video with a grain of salt as this is a qFB run, and those aren't done until you are partying with 15k UFE pug grps or have your own static. The build is correct, but the fight can be improved. Here are a few comments: 1- Never use BiP twice in a row, you need to increase your shroud uptime as much as possible, and waiting 2s extra for BiP to go of cd makes a noticeable difference in the long run. 2- Take corrosive poison cloud instead of spectral grasp at first phase. Since the boss is stationary at burn phases, the dmg adds up. 3- Side CC at first phase is not recommended unless you are going for a qFB run, and even then your alac should be able to handle it without you using sigil of paralyzation or spectral grasp. 4- Do not use golem at 2nd phase, not needed. 5- If you only have 2 epis, you should place shades at sorrows as the dmg from epi might not be enough. The area where sorrows spawn will be lit, so make sure you are in range and summon the shades when the sorrows spawn. 6- If you are using sand flare, you can precast it at mistlock for sadistic searing trait, and should be cast before burn phase. 7- Cast nefarious favor (F2) as often as you can to activate dhuumfire. Other than those few comments, this is a great video and I would've loved to see something like this when I started doing CMs.

I tough opener is BiP Plaguelands PiB before F5 and after only use 1x PiB? I would also add: 8) Also fire phase the first safe rock is opposite of the entry way and it should usually rotate clockwise~ 9) Air phase you rotate clockwise and skip every second cloud for efficiency. (usually enough dps skips this phase and is good bench mark if you have good or not team dmg) 10) Alternative dark phase you can CC the sorrows and at 33% you split, there will be add that tether at someone and boss and on both sides of that one will spawn sorrow, healer and alac go to the left one and everyone else on right side. 11) You should always check what start people are going for. Usually you check if there is 2x scourge for Epi start else you need the CC and yes, skip golem. Or am I mistaken about something?

Something this video isn't making mention of is the "HB" is running either QB or a DPS-focused Hybrid build, Plaguedoctor or something. Also, just FYI, with the trait change that cFB took a year ago, a single FB with Sanctuary can solo-cc a Sorrow while your supports cc the other one. Relying on Epidemic to carry you through a mechanic is as bad as relying on Barrier to carry you through facetanking things.

1- don’t see the point of the mentioning that it’s QB. Most people run them nowadays I don’t see the point of mentioning it. If anything it makes things more difficult and shows the strenght of scourge 2- you’re right sanctuary is epic but the point I make in the video is that build is BROKEN Because the firebrands can keep their CC to cc AI after epi-ng the sorrows. Also your argument doesn’t make a lot of sense, you’re not relying on epi, youre using it to your advantage which is why like the title says: this build is broken. The FBs still bring sanctuary but they can use it on AI instead of the sorrows like I said in the video. Also the “other support” is a condi renegade which DPS id quite high at the cost of lower CC is extensively. As for the “HB” it’s a quick brand, a meta build readily known (plague doctor would be terrible on this and you should go more with seraphs if you want a hybrid heal build)

@@Raavalicious The point is that most pugs won't run with QB in LFG. They're not coordinated enough. You say "most people run them" but I LFG for CM's daily, at various times, and never see cQB be run. And considering the difference between cQB and cFB is maybe 5-8k, you're basically playing with 4 dps and is the only reason some of your methods work (normal lfg pub team comp [3dps 1alac 1hb] doesn't break bars outside of after bomb splits, before the big red spin). And yes, Epidemic is the cornerstone of bringing Scourge to Dark Ai. No Epi = no easy way to deal with Sorrows = no mechanic cheese for lazies in LFG. Scourge only became a viable option a few months ago, because of changes to Torment and some of the traits, right around the same time prestacking Ashes of the Just was removed (but only on Ai.. makes you think). 99% of the time, it will be out-dps'd by Firebrand. But this means paying attention to mechanics. Also means you have more Aegis available to do things easier in every other Fractal. Celestial Renegade doesn't need to do anything more than drop Darkrazor on Sorrow while HB drops Sanctuary. Still plenty of CC left (Ren SB 5 and axe 5, HB shield 5 and axe 3, tomes, and cc from the DPS's) for Ai herself. Also, Plaguedoctor HB is a thing. I've run with one and they damn near kept up with your QB, while providing solid heals without issue. Celestial HB is also a thing now. And mucking around with dT's buildmaker, I've got a Celestial/Viper hybrid HB build I want to try now.. But all that stuff doesn't mean a thing if people are too busy eating damage from the boss and expecting Scourge barrier to do the work for them.

@@livefyre4531 I agree 100% with you on the subject of the guide. Somewhat obscure and not representative of the low KP lfg groups. I'm fed up with the HFB or seraph runs, lower dps means more time doing mechanics. The video makes some useful remarks but I find a lot of unnecessary things as well. I usually play necro since it's my main for 5 years but man. Celestial alacren qfb 2 scourge and condi thief, dark ai phases twice without moving. People that know how to do mechanics and maintain dps will wreck havoc. Scourge will outdps cfb on sustain damage on both fights. There is no point on running golem or grasp. Even with 3 scourge and condi ren you will have enough CC. I don't get the warhorn swap, it's a dps loss and shouldn't need it if your party CCs correctly. Id rather still run the fiend and get some free dps over grasp. Scourge is also not foolproof. Go do some lfg runs with power alac and HFB. You won't finish before water tether phase so if the pugs don't wake up you are going to wipe even pumping 5k barrier per second. I'd rather see people trying to get better at stacking and playing optimised build that relaying on cheap "op class" guides. I saw a lot of people daily that follow shit advice and with over 40k UFE still don't know how to handle mechanics and just expect to get carried. No ty go join a chill group idc. In the end you guys better read the dT guides on CC distribution and learn how to do real dps.
