I've noticed from all these villages you showed us so far that although the houses seem very old, the doors and the windows are brand new and always beautifully and freshly painted. There are climbing roses and wisteria and everything looks so charming and romantic. No wonder many of these villages are used for filming period dramas. “ Oh to be in England, now that Spring is here!” The flowers alone were such a joy to see.. azalea, lilac, roses, clematis.. all so lovely! What a relaxing and picturesque tour.. the church was so pretty.. I can relate to appreciating an electric kettle.. the last time I was in UK and in Frankfort, Germany too.. I was sick with a bad flu.. each hotel we arrived at, the first thing I did was make tea!! I love Spring but I don't think I have ever seen it on display so beautifully as in this video of these small villages!! I agree with you Kirsten I loved seeing that gorgeous Wisteria, it is one of my favorites. So glad you had beautiful weather. We have a saying in the U.S. that being a weatherman is the only profession where you can be wrong 50 percent of the time and still get to keep your job (I couldn't figure out how to add a smiley face here) but we believe just go anyway because you never know they just might be wrong about the forecast. I'm on Devon Cornwall border in rural countryside. I can see Dartmoor on the horizon out front. Spring and summer brings the most amazing fuscia pink sunsets. The field opposite has sheep and lambs. The hedgerows and verges had just daffodils and snowdrops, but now primroses bluebells, yellow buttercups, pink campions, and tall cow delicate cow parsley, amongst a wide variety of grasses, its very pretty. The birds are pairing up, sparrows, robins, blue tits, dunnocks, finches, blackbirds, woodpeckers, thrushes visit daily. Theres tiny lizards, bumble bees, butterflies, baby rabbits and hedgehogs, mice, shrews & weasels. Now and then theres a hare in the back field along with crows or rooks. At dusk sometimes a deer wanders along the lane, a barn owl swoops following the hedge line and bats dart about acrobatically after the night flies and moths. At night sonetimes the badgers are chirruping the clear sky is very very starry and you hear nothing else apart from the odd lamb bleating. Goodnight.

It was so lovely to see Geoff Hamilton's garden still going; I used to watch his show, Gardener's World every week (when it was on) without fail, it was one of my favourites and he was my favourite presenter of the show. I recall being so very sad when Geoff died. Though Alan Tichmarsh did a very good job when he took it over after his death. Really enjoyed the vid this week, as usual; England really does have a lot of very beautiful villages. I do hope that you can get to do the 'narrow boat cruise' - come on Luca, get together with these guys.

Here in Yorkshire we make Yorkshire pudding to be served with gravy although many people enjoy them with sugar or syrup. As children we had our Yorkshire puddings and gravy as a starter before our Sunday roast dinner as a means of filling us up. My mum made delicious Yorkshire puds! They would rise to the top of the oven! Hope you get to try Yorkshire puds someday.

Thank you Kirsten & Joerg for your awesome video. The villages you visited are so quintessentially English and a feast for the eyes! English , and having lived in Brazil for almost 40 yrs now, your films bring back a certain nostalgia which I find heartwarming. Maybe because you’re not native but have a love and fascination for the countryside & architecture , that you both capture details which so many natives would miss and the reason why I watch each one ceremoniously every week.
