I've noticed from all these villages you showed us so far that although the houses seem very old, the doors and the windows are brand new and always beautifully and freshly painted. There are climbing roses and wisteria and everything looks so charming and romantic. No wonder many of these villages are used for filming period dramas. “ Oh to be in England, now that Spring is here!” The flowers alone were such a joy to see.. azalea, lilac, roses, clematis.. all so lovely! What a relaxing and picturesque tour.. the church was so pretty.. I can relate to appreciating an electric kettle.. the last time I was in UK and in Frankfort, Germany too.. I was sick with a bad flu.. each hotel we arrived at, the first thing I did was make tea!! Hallo liebe Kirsten und Jörg, das ist eine wunderschöne Gegend mit den gepflegten Häusern und wunderschönen Reetdachhäusern. Mit den jetzt blühenden Wisteria ein echter Traum. Die Sonne hat für euch gescheint das hat mich gefreut. Der Garten den ihr besucht habt war echt ein Traum. Ich habe euer Video sehr genossen und mein Heimweh nach England wurde etwas abgemildert:). Danke für eure wunderbare, wertvolle Arbeit!!! Und die schöne Musik als Untermalung passt so wunderbar. Als ich die Nachrichten heute gesehen habe mit dem Hochwasser im Saarland habe ich gleich an deine Familie gedacht, und hoffe sie sind von den furchtbaren Überschwemmungen verschont geblieben und konnten in ihrem Haus bleiben. Das ist so unglaublich schrecklich. Die armen Menschen. Letzten Montag wurde 5 Kilometer weg von uns ein kleiner Ort von Wassermassen durchflutet. Überall Schlamm und Wasser bis zum Knie. Bei uns war es zum Glück nur Regen. Aber wir hatten früher bei meiner Mutter im Haus auch dreimal Hochwasser. Schrecklich! Bis das alles ausgepumpt und wieder gerichtet ist. Ich wünsche euch einen schönen, hoffentlich ruhigen, regenfreien Sonntag. Ganz liebe Grüße❤

Hallo liebe Gabi, vielen herzlichen Dank! Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht dort zu filmen, gerade jetzt wo all die schönen Blumen kommen. Ja, Gott sei Dank ist bei meinem Vater und meinen Geschwistern alles okay, weil sie nicht gleich an einem Bach oder so wohnen aber in den direkten Nachbarorten ist es schon schlimm und in der nächsten Kleinstadt musste die Innenstadt evakuiert werden. Die Leute tun uns auch so leid, man muss gleich an die furchtbare Überschwemmung im Ahrtal denken. Leider werden diese Extreme immer häufiger und es macht einem schon Angst. Ich kann mir vorstellen, wie schlimm das dann bei deiner Mutter gewesen sein musste, gerade der Schlamm richtet so viel an. Viele liebe Grüße, wir sind gerade in einem tollen Cottage zum Filmen

I love Spring but I don't think I have ever seen it on display so beautifully as in this video of these small villages!! I agree with you Kirsten I loved seeing that gorgeous Wisteria, it is one of my favorites. So glad you had beautiful weather. We have a saying in the U.S. that being a weatherman is the only profession where you can be wrong 50 percent of the time and still get to keep your job (I couldn't figure out how to add a smiley face here) but we believe just go anyway because you never know they just might be wrong about the forecast. Hi Kirsten and Joerg 👋 Loved this video. So beautiful. And, also, how peaceful and tranquil. I absolutely love the old timeless buildings that were surrounded by cement. You never track in dirt and mud that way! Brilliant!(Even though we take off our shoes upon entering) I was always envious of the European aspect of design. Whereas in Canada the majority of homes have grass right around them as do most apartments. You put so much thought and planning into your trips. And it shows! It was so lovely to see Geoff Hamilton's garden still going; I used to watch his show, Gardener's World every week (when it was on) without fail, it was one of my favourites and he was my favourite presenter of the show. I recall being so very sad when Geoff died. Though Alan Tichmarsh did a very good job when he took it over after his death. Really enjoyed the vid this week, as usual; England really does have a lot of very beautiful villages. I do hope that you can get to do the 'narrow boat cruise' - come on Luca, get together with these guys.

Here in Yorkshire we make Yorkshire pudding to be served with gravy although many people enjoy them with sugar or syrup. As children we had our Yorkshire puddings and gravy as a starter before our Sunday roast dinner as a means of filling us up. My mum made delicious Yorkshire puds! They would rise to the top of the oven! Hope you get to try Yorkshire puds someday.

they are quite easy to make, many recipes on line Delia Smith has one, you can put the mixture into muffins pans.
