Plugin idea: Zombies. kind of like the death snail, but instead of chasing you down anywhere, could be several "zombies" that spawn/despawn periodically around the player, and move toward the player if you get within range and give up the chase if you get far enough. could take it a step further even and do something like sight radius infront of it is larger than behind it, so you could try to sneak behind them
