Thank you so much for featuring Venice, Egg ❤ it’s been great to meet you and hang out in Finland recently, and of course you can have a house in Venice, I shall add you in next episode haha 🙌

What an absolutely unique build!! I thought OE was a maniac for details but I think you have impressed him!!! Very cool build. Very realistic!! Great job!! Thanks @OVERSHARGEDEGG for showing it to us. I just subscribed to @sully_skylines to check it out!

So bold of you to run this city. I can feel the heat radiating from your computer.

You know what, it wasn't too bad at all for the most part! Especially considering I was also recording in 4K while running it, surprising!

For a second there, it looked like drone footage, looks super realistic.

I've been to Venice Beach once, five years ago...and yeah, that's *precisely* what it looked like.

"The Sidewalk Cafe & Bar" (one building over from Pharrell Williams) ...yeah, we ate there. The custom prop work is absurd.

This is one of the most amazing detailed builds so far. Sully and the other modders/creators that have contributed to this build have done some great work here.

Watching this build unfold has been quite amazing, the YT algorithm has graced me with this build ever since the trailer came out. The creativity and general quality of the detailing is just top notch. I think some of the speed of the build had to do with some of the growing pains of the game, but if you look at the earliest 2 episode what he has been able to achieve regardless of that is tremendous. A big chunk of the build should be a bit more smooth sailing no matter how new the game is. I found your statement that you're not that familiar with the suburbs of LA quite funny, since I guess that means you're not that familiar with LA at all as the city is essentially one huge suburb and there's barely any density. Though that's actually great for detailing, since there are many little areas that are interesting but spread over a larger area. Much more manageable than recreating, say, Tokyo with this same level of detail.

I believe the LA28 branding and Red Hot Chili Peppers concert is a reference to the Olympic handover that happened in the summer

Love the video man, great work getting in there and really breaking everything down for all of us. as an LA native, it's super inspiring to see how Sully takes on some of the famous landmarks. @ 31:24, you mention downtown LA, haha you would think it'd be around there but it's about 6 times farther inland from where you presumed; So I'm curious as well if Sully will take on this challenge.

I need to have a little talk with MY "city". I swear, I don't even think it's trying. Amazing, Sully! Absolutely amazing! ✌🏻😎👍🏻

You did an amazing job showcasing this recreation and Sully did an amazing job building it. If you're familiar with Venice, you immediatly recognize a lot of stuff. And the DIY buildings out of props just make it so much more authentic (like the Abbot Kinney library or the police station on the beach). just outstanding.

Yes Egg, Sully has done a wonderful job on Venice Beach LA. It`s just so awesome what you can do in CS2.

LA's canals are a functioning flood relief system - after heavy rain they are filled to the brim, but for most of the year they are virtually all dry. And they are a feature in many a Hollywood car chase. Brilliantly executed 🙂

When I see builds like this, it really makes me ask if the maker hopes to inspire, or just make everyone else feel bad about what they've made 😂

The realism is cs2 is astounding. And so are the skills of all these city builders. So well put together. I'm an IT tech and my little IT brain just explodes everytime I see build like these 😂. I play on console but will make the switch to pc when I'm ready for cs2 and the super computer I feel I'll l need to build already has my bank account screaming at me😂

You get more than a massage at a Chinese massage. Is this using a procedural objects mod or is that functionality insofar as positioning, built into the game now?

I wish we would have textured grungy paths in vanilla. Having to do this with decals impacts performance pretty bad. The best would be a way to brush on a texture, but that might be too much to ask. (I know you can sort of do this with decals, but then you have the performance issue again).
