Thank you for showing Kasidia so much love! 5:05 - This bit is a nod to Tampere actually, with the big brick factories by the river. Gentrified industry was the intention here as you said, old factories turned into apartments. 7:27 - Something to note here is that the visitors also have a view of the huge ravine beneath their feet with a river, rocks and tree detailing. Carved it out myself! 9:10 - Oddly enough, those empty spaces ARE actually filled with more B&Q buildings... no idea why they didn't load in properly, especially since they're CCP, not workshop assets! 9:28 - Ah, sadly not my creation. Credit to the map maker for this one! I did put the IMT markings in, though... 10:05 - Same here, it was already in place when I started the map! Some of the highway sections/junctions ARE my additions, though, like at 15:44 and 34:21. 15:00 - Absolutely inspired by Orchid Bay! I also used RICO to change the Space Elevator into an office, to avoid the ridiculous tourist traffic! 18:15 - This is where the city started! Love this bit. 20:45 - So this monorail is effectively a huge city bypass. It connects the harbour and the airport, and goes round the edge of the city, so that people can travel between outer areas without having to go into the centre and back out again. 22:19 - Sorry! Not mine! Credit to the map maker! 23:27 - Oh my days, how embarrassing! Yes, I forgot to redo this district (mass-zoned it for a population boost). I'm sorting it right now, lol! 31:50 - Move It was my best friend stacking all those containers! 36:50 - Direct inspiration from you, indeed! 44:08 - So I spotted multiple skull warning signs when you switched between build and view modes... looks like the abandonment is due to deathcare. I actually have deathcare turned off in my Game Anarchy, but it looks like that didn't carry over on the save file? 47:17 - Haha! Few was in chat while I built this bit of the skyline so I named it after her. The actual name is Lattice Tower. 48:08 - Weirdly, I swear I remember extending this line, but nope! Turns out I didn't! I have now extended it to the tourist harbour over at the port. Got a few nodes left... (Spot the recoloured Transport Tower nearby too!) 48:30 - The Convocation Tower (my favourite tower in the city) was originally proposed for New York City in 1921, but never happened. Its lower section was intended to be a church, so the angel statue looking up at it was a deliberate design choice on my part! 49:20 - This has baffled me. I remember this place being packed solid! Some kind of bug, I expect... I have deleted the plaza and plopped it down again, reconnected all the lines. We are now seeing people using it! Kinda bummed that it glitched out for the showcase, but oh well. 54:50 - Absolutely intentional with the tiles here, they're meant to match the colours of the Museum of Post-Modern Art in the middle there. I didn't actually know about the align tool at that point so...ha! Patience of a saint I guess! 55:45 - Galaxy SOHO is an office building in Beijing, near where my family lived for a while, so was happy to find it on the workshop! From there up to the riverfront is meant to be a science/innovation area so the design fits perfectly I think, whilst fitting with the industrial vibe of the factories behind as you said. 56:34 - Yes, I did a lot of BOB work in the city. I also noticed it with the commercial buildings at 30:36, where I had already removed those vanilla signs/billboards! I didn't realise BOB information didn't carry over with the save file, or I would've let you have all that too. My bad! Kasidia is at 98% of her node count now, so as good as finished. This is a fantastic send-off for her, despite a few things not loading properly (blame Skyve, lol) and a couple of unfinished sections (blame me!) - but I'm damn proud of this city and it will be hard to match with my future builds, but we'll see how I get on. Thank you for this showcase!

The reason the Medical Research Lab or whatever looks familiar to the one in CS2 is they are likely both based on RUSH University Medical Center in Chicago.

MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM. Somehow manages to handle the city very well! My goal was to get to 250K, so I’m happy it got there in the end. 🤣

My Mac air m2 with only upgraded gpu to 10gb runs fine with my city of 90k, 25 mods, all dlcs unlocked, and like 2k assets

RG Pacific La Défense is a building in La Défense CBD, West of Paris. Look at La Défense assets on the workshop, there are a ton of them, to recreate the iconic CBD area...

Kasidia by the Titan Atlas. Thank you for showcasing this amazing build, I enjoyed it so much I've watched the video three times. This map 'santos' by E6GSY looks amazing and I decided to get back into CS1 and will use this map for a long slow build. Is there any way to get a CSL map of the city build? Thanks.

CS1 can easily handle 250k population. CS2 gets laggy at 120k.

It depends on the machine it's run on too. I used a laptop with 16 GB of RAM, so 250K was a massive deal. I wouldn't say "easily handled"! 😂 I've heard CS2 does struggle with bigger populations, though.

Not true. Probably in CS1 only a fraction of population is simulated in real time. That's why 250k in CS2 can perform differently than 250k in cs1
