Where was this data taken? Who said they are correct? In Italy primary school has been compulsory since 1859.

I would imagine that Denmark is probably the most schooled population in the world - by far. Yet it is not appearing on the list at any time.
@irenejohansen13709 ай бұрын
Where is Denmark? 🇩🇰 At the time this chart starts, Norway was actually part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and at some point, so was Sweden. Danes are some of the best educated people in the world.

Years of schooling is not all. It says nothing about the quality. Look how Germany goes up when we turned a lot of half-day schools to schools for the complete day. That was done to give more women the opportunity to work the whole day and support all children with a good lunch. But longer time at school is no automatically better education.

Surprisingly not much variation, only a year and a half between the top and the last displayed. Differences in the number of school days, the length of the school day, and how much of the time is actually spent on instruction probably makes comparing countries just on the statistic displayed here pretty meaningless.

Plus, for the last several decades, American schools have switched from education to indoctrination.

Misleading title! Years of education is NOT the same as level of education.

Is education better in the USA than in Russia? seriously? I talked to many Americans, and they don’t know trivial things
@johnlamberti27358 ай бұрын
Exactly. They tend to know almost nothing about anything.

Among the 100 top best universities in the world, 40 are Americans and 0 is Russian.
@maxmonkey737625 күн бұрын
@@francoislechanceux5818 Seriously? 🤣 First, study the information, and then write this nonsense. There are Russian universities in this top. Go and eat your burger further. And foreigners study in American universities, who then go back to their homeland. There are almost no Americans there. Moreover, in the USA, education is paid, so everything can be solved with money. In Russia, it is free, and you solve everything only with your mind
