Urbosa's entire speech on top of the Divine Beast as it aims at the castle: keep that in mind as you're playing Ocarina of Time "Nabooru... Legend of the Gerudo, celebrated over ages. And you, who were named to honor her-- you are a legend as well. Isn't that right, Naboris? The bitter essence of defeat from a century ago still sits upon my tongue... But that is now in the past... It was written that Calamity Ganon once adopted the form of a Gerudo. And that... will make this victory all the more satisfying. I like that. Now I can take this personally. Once we've established a lock on that thing... It will be up to Link to keep Ganon occupied until the moment we unleash our strike. That moment... is going to be so delicious."

Definitely the most explicit OoT reference, showing that legends still persist from that time. (Which is crazy, because it's well over ten thousand years prior. The legends from when Hyrule was hy-tech, which don't correspond with any other game and definitely occurred after all of them, are already twice as old as any relics of civilization here on earth.)

Fi would eventually sacrifice her freedom from the sword by locking herself in the Master Sword (in Skyward Sword she could leave the sword and directly talk to Link) so that when Link and Zelda were reincarnated, she would guide them by giving the Master Sword its power. Right here, she is telling Zelda that Link could still be saved if they used the Shrine of Resurrection.

I think people just miss the point. The real story happened 100 years ago, but since it’s the past, people kind of ignore it and they want a story in the present. The present is just Link on his own, training and prepping to finish the story that happened 100 years ago, and avenge the death of his friends, saving Hyrule. Ironically, when the story if present and linear, people tend to just ignore it and blindly muddle through it anyway. The fact that it was revealed a little at a time made me enjoy it even more.

BTW, if anyone in the comments here wants to play this game and experience the story in a semi-chronological order + DLC, I reccomend this: Only collect the first three memories while doing the Divine Beast Quests. Just enough so that you get a feel for Link and Zelda's initial relationship while getting the Divine Beast memories, which are all before the turning point in their relationship in a later memory. Then, once the Divine Beasts are complete, play the Champion's Ballad if you've already purchased the DLC. Once again, all memories take place before the aforementioned turning point. Along the way, read the Champion's Diaries. Once the DLC is complete, resume the Captured Memories questline, and for this a guide on which memory is which is reccomended. While collecting the one in Hyrule Castle, seek out both Zelda's Diary and King Rhoam's Diary. Finally, once all memories are complete, head to Korok Forest and obtain the Master Sword and what is chronologically the last memory.

Just came here before watching the live stream on Twitch. Congratulations DeeBee for freeing all the devine beasts & champions' spirits and finding all the memories. That's two main quests done ! The woods memory always gets me and makes me cry, and that music, Zelda's Lullaby in the background when Zelda finally awakens, Nintendo what a piece of art you created. Thanks a million :)

When you eventually make your way to the castle again, read the diaries. They give more story and character

I *LOVE* the theme music playing around and within Hyrule Castle! When you run around its interior Link might even have memory flashes of his time in there among other knights, daily training, gossips, bullies, friends etc. All of them rush every now and then to his mind, only to see these spots perverted by forces of Ganon, Links knight friends beds empty, corridors that echoed with nervous laughter just days before Calamity happened are ruined or collapsed... These are things that i create with my own mind to intensify of what Link is going through.

Argh, he missed the shield! And he was so excited to build Tarrey Town, which could give him potentially infinite Big-Boy-Shields.

I totally agree that the best way to fight Ganon is doing it after you get all memories. It gets very emotional and you finally understand all the story.

Ayyy DLC time! By the way, if you’re planning to watch the memories in order, I suggest watching them after competing the Champion’s Ballad to get the full 100-years ago story all in one sitting. And also, the Champion’s Ballad, from a story perspective, is meant to be taken on before Ganon. The people saying to do it after Ganon only think that way because many did it after Ganon when the DLC was new, as the DLC released months after the main game, so they had already beaten the game beforehand.

To understand the history of the Master Sword you need to play Skyward Seord, i think you will enjoy that game! I really like your videos and i can have breaks of my studies with you . I really hope you will play in Switch Skyward Sword HD

I’ve been binging these videos because I wish I could play this game for the first time again and experience all of the memories for the first time again. It’s so fun to watch someone else do it. 41:59 was the embodiment of 🥺

Remember what you heard in that final memory, DeeBee, music and sounds alike. You may find they have more significance than it first appears, both in BotW by itself and in the context of the rest of the series. And while the ones most important to me personally may be the less popular of the group, you hearing them again may be the thing I'm looking forward to most in your Zelda series exploration. ...Alongside, of course, the day you strike down the Calamity. Keep it up, man.

I loved this episode so much!! Actually every single episode. As a Zelda fan it's so nice to see someone, who mainly plays xBox and PlayStation, playing this amazing game and falling in love with tloz. It makes me so happy to see how much you love playing this game and you really give me joy during this hard time. It's great to see someone really appreciating such a beautiful game as Breath of the Wild. Thank you so so so much! Enjoy the rest of the week.

Quite a few small details in that final memory that’ll make more sense as you play more Zelda games! Like the music you noticed (OoT) and the sound the Master Sword makes (SS)...

Urbosa's fury is my 2nd favourite ability after revali's gale. So handy in taking down bigger enemies! Also the Hylian Shield is in the dungeon of Hyrule Castle... also, you can sneak in the back way... there's a shrine there too. On OOT you wanted Link's green outfit, to get that, you need to find and complete all 120 shrines.

Since I had the rubber armor fully upgraded and was armed to the tooth with weapons and food, I didn't had much difficulty defeating Thunderblight Ganon. But watching Dee Bee fight him without ANY preparation... I understand now the hype about the Thunderblight Ganon.

I feel like Dee Bee Geek is so mesmerized by the Triforce XD
@maspleben4 жыл бұрын
As one should be! :-) The apparition of the Triforce in the games is always such an important and grave moment. There is debate to know if what Zelda displays here is the triforce itself, a power - the Triforce attack - granted to her because she prayed at the different sources and her prayers were heard, or that same power because she has been awarded the 3 fragments of the Triforce (after all, the full Trifoce sign appears on the back of her hand while she uses the power). All in all, she is worthy of the Triforce. But this is not strictly the 3 golden triangle artefact we know which grants wishes, as shown in... other games... (don't want to spoil if he is going to play the different games, and I wish he does!)

Can’t believe how easily you took out tbunderblight ganon. I died so many times lol. Also I’m not sure if you fully noticed but urbosa said that “ganon once took the form of a gerudo” that dialogue is important for the overall Zelda lore

I love this series because I get a perspective of The Legend of Zelda and especially of Breath of the Wild I will never get. The perspective of someone who hasnt played all the other Zelda games and doesnt have a huge knowledge of Zelda. When Urbosa talked about Nabooru and Calamity Ganon once being a Gerudo, I got pretty emotional and had goosebumps but seeing this, its an interesting view. He doesnt know who Nabooru is or why Calamity Ganon was called a Gerudo, I love this Playthrough!
