I’m physically disabled, have ADHD, and can get emotional; all of which made me a great target for bullies. My father told me “people only bully you cause you think about being bullied and thinking about being bullied attracts bullies like a magnet, just turn the magnet off”; he wound’t even listen to me saying I’ve never thought about bullies until they actually start the bullying. He has also said me caring about other people makes me a bad person, sometime after he said he wished my school taught religion cause they’d teach me not to worry about myself and others - sorry that I’m scared with whats happening in America and that it could spread to other country’s just to please president oompa loompa. He has also called Trump an angel and told me he’s never done/said anything racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, or transphobic. I get sick alot because of my stress levels, made worse when the ended up being a reason my bird, who was like a 2 year old toddler to me , died. and because of the abuse my legs had taken the blood vessles in my legs start to leak into my skin and get infected from said stress, I can no longer walk more than a block, my parents never saw the issues, refuse to think they were part of the reason i pushed myself so much and refuse to appologize. I'm on the opposite coast to them and in another country, and low contact, Im content with watching them die from a distance, I will not be attending funerals. they can rot in hell

Robin is on point in this video. Just because someone gave birth to you doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your mental, physical, emotional, or financial health. Family is not about blood or who raised you. Family is about those who are there for you during the good and bad times. If you have a disagreement you talk to each other like adults, they don't get a free pass to run all over you. Many people from an older generation believe that you show respect for your elders and family no matter what. Some of these people are the same ones who abused us our entire childhoods and try to control our lives after we moved away. I'm sorry but if you are not going to love and support me and have civilized conversations I'm not going to waste my time on you.

The one from the person who told their mom about spending some time at their dad's place reminds me so much of an experience a friend of mine had. He, his dad, another friend, and I were going to an escape room on a day when his mom was having a bbq at her house. When he messaged her to let her know he'd be a lil late arriving because we weren't sure how long the room would take, she got all pissy. (Note: His mom and dad were divorced by then and he had mentioned to her "I'm at an escape room with Dad and some friends.") She started ranting at him over text messages, saying that "if his dad was worth more to him, then he can just not bother showing up to the bbq at all." Literally all he said was that he was doing an activity with his dad and some friends and that he'd _be there, just maybe a little later than expected._ And she had this whole tantrum, acting like he was spitting in her face and telling her he hated her or something. Why are parents so fucking immature sometimes? It's ridiculous.

Had my grandma move in with my family and I a few years ago. She said she’d pay the electricity, cable, wifi and water bill. Cable bc she was the only one who used it. She only paid for the first 3 months and let our power and water shut off. Surprise surprise the cable bill was paid. Jump ahead a year or so and she completely lets herself go. She gets mad at my mom for working, being happy, exorcising with friends, having time with her kids, etc. THIS WOMAN starts pissing herself because she “just can’t get up in time” she stops doing EVERYTHING unless my mom is there doing it for her. Showering, making food, using the bathroom, everything. She stopped wearing underwear and put a towel down on her chair. She wore the same night gown that REEKED. I had to hold my breath every time she passed by. Anyway, she also just bullied me and my siblings for no reason. She’d pick on us about our weight even though she was like 3 elephants taped together. She once tried to claim my little sibling and my dad were stealing toilet paper because they didn’t want her to have it and were building a fort? Idk. She was put in a nursing home after a heart attack scare because my mom took that way out SO FAST. She was doing good there, losing weight and being polite. She met a guy and in a month were engaged. She moved out with him and started immediately trying to spend all his money. The guy was all about saving money and dumped her asap. Some family friend who claimed they wanted nothing to do with her ended up picking her up and having her live there until she could find a place and now idk where she is. I think she has a place but we’re no contact for obvious reasons. Worst part is, she talks about having “no idea” as to why we cut her off. She’s such a narcissist. One of my biggest fears is ending up like her.

0:23 Am I the only one getting kidnapper vibes from reading this? If you read between the lines it sounds like the mom of the gf wants to kidnap them or as they would probably put it “steal them back” from her bf. No. Just me? Edit: Why the hell is the timestamp not working? Is KZbin removing timestamps now?

My dad is kinda like some of these, my parents are together and have a good relationship with each other and me, but my dad expects me to be a man and I'm only 13. When I didn't put my hand in sparks from a grinder he said he would sell all my stuff because :Its too unsafe right?" I have experiences with these things and have seen you do them while married. (Riding motorcycles, projects, ect) He got mad because I didnt trust him and I need to, I figured since has older and had tougher skin, it didn't hurt. I get I seem like a pussy but id rather avoid pain then purposely go into it. Super nice to me and makes me pull my weight (Like I should) aswell as being a good dude ive never been abused by him or anything he is a good dad but just jumps to conclusions and just does annoying shit.
