Hi, really loved your video on the Dot Watch. I am totally blind and a Braille Reader, Braille Teacher and Assistive Technology Specialist. Dot is doing some amazing work and can’t wait to see what else they bring to market. Thank you for showing this to your sighted audience, brings increased awareness. A Dot Watch may well be in my future.

Looking good in a suit, or in a sport coat, is easy. Learn proper fit, buy something fairly classic, be well groomed. Getting casual clothing right is far more difficult.

@@TechnoLawyer I don't think so. Just putting on a suit, even if you're comfortable wearing it, is often like wearing a costume that will make you look well dressed at most. That does not automatically make you look good! You can follow all the rules and yes, it will look sharp. But not more. If you want to stand out, and that's actually what makes a look really good, you need confidence respectively a certain pride, and you should be able to master the ominous art of "sprezzatura". There are lots of so called rules waiting to be broken, so you need a keen sense of which ones you can and shall break to have it casual/nonchalant while still obtaining a certain neatness and formality. Also, it can be very laborious to have it looking effortless without having it looking sloppy. There's a thin line between doing too little and exaggeration, and it's difficult to stay on it. I think getting other casual clothing right, as you call it, is not totally easy, but still not that difficult. The line between "boring" and "exaggerated" is not that thin. There's much more freedom of taste. You have many more choices and alternaives available. For more classic outfits, fit is actually one of the toughest challenges to master, but for casual clothing is not the absolute key to getting it right. It will not look sloppy immediately if the sleeves are a little bit too long or so. However, it can be difficult to fulfill your personal requirements as casual fashion changes quickly and thus you often cannot find matching pieces.

Even though he might get a bit of a kickback, I still think it is classy AF that Antonio would take the time to bring such a product to our attention. It is also classy that companies are out there not just bringing innovations to the masses where they will have the largest sales, but are also bringing innovation to smaller groups of people in need that may not bring them as much cash flow.

While not something I personally need this is a really cool idea. In the age of touchscreens, things don't even have buttons you can put braille on. This is really cool. I would love to see more videos about wearables on the channel. Bose Frames are awesome.

Thanks for the video I had no idea there was a World Braille Day. Very cool watch. My Aunt is deaf, she had a job in a bank vault. It’s sad that a lot of jobs do not consider sign language as being bilingual. I knew sign before I could actually talk and after years of construction my hearing isn’t what it used to be.

This is an amazing video. I really appreciate you bringing awareness to folks who have physical challenges. My son has severe hearing loss in one ear and complete loss in his other. Most kids are unable to function in a hearing word with that loss. Because of technology and determination he has been able to survive and thrive in this world. Including being a trumpet player, reading above his grade level, and becoming a success despite these challenges! Thank you for sharing a great company!!!

I am legally blind/hard of hearing and I would like to find one. That would be helpful! I would love it in loud noises. Also thank you for including braille. I hope braille literacy. I love my devices, but literacy is an issue worldwide. Many in the I.S. Have braille as their medium. Many newly blind folks do not or don’t have access to learn it other than residential blindness rehabilitate centers.

That’s a really great concept. I’m visually impaired myself so I have relatively very little sight but enough. I’ve never needed Braille luckily, but I know so many people who are fully blind and this would be amazing for them. It is true though that people with “full” sight overlook so many small things that can be problematic for those of us with sight problems. Waiting for those self-driving cars to take over so I can get one

I like the great idea behind it, that it will be a helpful tool for lots of people who have problems in this more and more "visual heavy" world. I wouldn't say it's stylish though, but that's not what it's actually about. As I see from the comments, this video already reaches the target group and that's great, if this device helps improve their lives. And it's cool to be aware of such tools, as you will learn about other people's struggles about things you wouldn't even think about in the normal course of life (which eventually might make you treat othes more respectfully).

Is it normal for a watch to lose its color or does that mean it is a fake? I researched it and it says that most likely it is fake. On a picture it looks silver but mine now looks Dark Grey. I'll probably save up for a new one that is actually genuine.

I stumbled across this video while looking up information on the dot watch. I am totally blind myself. I’m gonna be a bit nitpicky, braille is not a language it is simply a written code of whatever printed system it happens to be representing. It could be English, Spanish, whatever language. It is simply a written code This watch, allows you to learn at the very simple basics of braille probably, not the more advanced contracted braille which all books are written in. It would be a bit hard, because the watch is small I find it interesting, you were talking about this watch being able to read notification incoming calls, and text messages. Another lady who was reviewing the watch on KZbin who is also blind, so she could not get it to read her text messages. After having said all this, I find it absolutely fascinating that you are a cited person at reviewing this watch. It makes me smile.

I don’t know if a blind person can afford a 300$ watch
@ShawnBrockMusic Жыл бұрын
Considering I’m wearing an Apple Watch that’s twice the price of this, have an iPhone that’s three times the price, along with $3000 worth of jewelry on right now, and am typing this from my home that I paid for by working all my life as a blind person, $300 is no problem… You’re the problem with the world, and have some personal issues with your self-image, which causes you to make false assumptions about others, in an attempt to make yourself feel better. By the way, I’m making this point based on my education and practice as a licensed mental health professional. Yeah, blind people can do that too. Good luck.
